Fall fitness fashion collections are dropping right and left right now, and I’m loving all the saturated colors and layer-able looks. As I’m branching out to more and more brands, it’s exciting to have so many beautiful new colors and styles to choose from. Here’s a roundup of some notable newness.
Albion Fit
Salt Lake City-based brand Albion just released their 3rd version of their popular antigua floral print. This one is antigua slate. I love the monochrome look, and the different shades of grey add dimension. The crops are shown here, but there’s also a full-length version.
Albion also released a bunch of other new styles for fall, like a new running short, the sprinter shorts, and this new limelight jacket. Albion offers sizes XXS-XXL in some styles (most are XS-XL), and their prices are reasonable too, plus they ship to Canada for only $10 via First Class. The new antigua slate might finally tip me over the edge to go ahead and order some bottoms from them to try. See all their new arrivals here.
Crane and Lion
Fledgling Boston-based brand Crane and Lion is now out with their sophomore collection for FW15. They have some really pretty saturated colors this season. I really like that C&L offers a really nice range of sizes, 0-12, which makes the odds really good that I can get the right size.
I really like the long sleeve tee in zinfandel above, except as I was looking at it, my bf walked over and said it looked like a Star Trek uniform. CANNOT UNSEE. I still love the shirt, though. Captain Picard fabulous.
Here’s another new color: dark slate, which reminds me of lululemon’s alberta lake. These are the original tights.
Lastly, to brighten up the palette a little bit, here’s a pretty blue called riviera. These are the capri tights, which were popular sellers for their last collection. They also come in dark slate (and, of course, black).
See all of Crane and Lion’s fall collection (so far) on their website.
Glyder
Glyder just released a new yogini tank in white (I have the black exhale love yogini tank that I talked about here). This one has a print on it with the quote “you can’t buy love, but you can rescue it”. Half of the proceeds from the tank go to an animal rescue charity set up by yogi Rachel Brathen. I rescued my two dogs so I totally support the message and the cause here, plus it’s just super cute. Mine is on its way to me!
Alo Yoga
Alo is yet another brand I’ve had on my list to try for a while. This new color of goddess leggings caught my eye, called purple sand. The goddess leggings have been a really popular style for Alo for their leg-elongating powers. I’d also like to try the paddle fast short bra shown here, but alas, it doesn’t come in my size.
This capsule within Alo’s fall collection emphasizes soft, feminine looks with a little edge. This delicate petal bra is the perfect example.
Here’s another really pretty and delicate pairing: the goddess leggings and goddess bra in pink cloud. I’d like to try the goddess leggings, but since I spend more time with barbells and less time in a yoga/studio environment, I don’t think these would be versatile enough for my needs.
See more from Alo on Carbon38 or more styles on Alo’s website.
Nike
I really like these new Nike legendary tights. The print is called engineered waterfall, but for some reason it reminds me of dragons. I also love the black-white ombre look, it’s kind of like pretty plume but more badass. But with a price tag of $150, I won’t be buying these anytime soon.
Alala
Last but most definitely not least, one of my fave brands, Alala, dropped their first batch of fall ’15 goods. Cerise is one of their main new colors–berry seems to be a popular choice this fall. I jumped the gun a bit and ordered these captain crops early when I saw them pop up on Revolve in advance of Alala’s main site product drop. The color is gorgeous and vibrant, similar to lululemon’s bumble berry, though not quite the same. I was soooo bummed to find that my pair was see-through in a bend, so back they went. I’m tempted to order another pair to see if it was a bad batch because the color is so lovely and the fabric felt wonderful otherwise (a little softer than my other captain crops), but that’s probably a little crazy.
This twist back tank, essentially a hybrid between a vest and a pullover, has quite a few cool design motifs, including the mesh back, the hood, the twist, and a kangaroo pocket in the front.
It looks like there might be a shade of deep purple on its way–looks like a fractal tee. I really like the mesh-accented hat and scarf, though they’re pretty pricey. My Alala collection has been growing quickly, so these accessories would be the perfect coordinating accent.
This two-tone draped vest is interesting–kinda like the sophisticate jacket (which is back again for this fall) with the sleeves chopped off, except this one isn’t neoprene. Also, it looks like this one doesn’t have a closure. I still kind of regret skipping out on last year’s flawless vest, so I’m keeping my eye out for something similar this year.
Besides these new arrivals, I perused their newly added fall ’15 lookbook to grab some previews of what’s coming later this season:
For their fall theme, Alala is transitioning away from the lighter, surf-inspired vibe from the spring, and going back to badassery. Although I like the occasional delicate, floral, and feminine details, I always find myself drawn to looks that are a little more edgy. I don’t generally go for all-out grunge, but looks like these that walk the line between sophisticated and bad-ass really ring my bell.
The photo above also shows their new fall print, black leopard. Based on other photos, I don’t think the print is quite as dark as it looks here.
I’m glad to see the neutron hoodie is coming back (it was out last fall), since I’ve been on the lookout for a looser-fitting zip-up for the fall. I like the reptile details at the shoulder, which are an update for this year. I also really like the shadow hoodie, which has a similar look.
This photo made me decide I like the new fighter cropped tee. Also pictured are some new neoprene sweats with some cool reptile detail. I love neoprene on tops, so I’m intrigued by how it would feel on pants.
Looks like Alala will be coming out with a textured cold weather tight. This might be interesting to try, but lulu does such a bang-up job with their textures and their cold-weather rulu fabric that Alala has their work cut out for them if they want to bea them in that category. The vest and top here are also something new. The vest is labeled as sherpa–that could be tempting.
Much like Crane and Lion above, Alala is doing its own deep teal for fall. I really like this color, and will be interested to see more pics of this blanket jacket, too. The tights are also something new.
You can peruse the fall lookbook in its entirety here, or check out more new fall arrivals on the product page. Don’t forget that AA readers get 15% off with code AA15! You can also find new fall stuff on Carbon38.

Alala’s new collection looks strong! Definitely on my radar for this season. Missed out on their sweatpants last season.
The Nike Legendary tights are bad-ass indeed! Would you know if Nike produces the same print placements for every pair? Pretty much very turned off by LLM’s print placement (self-induced) stress.

If you’re thinking of the rolldown sweats, those are sticking around for fall, so you haven’t totally missed them. :) I wore them for travel recently and they were just perfect for the plane. As for Nike, I believe the pattern placement will be the same for all pairs. That’s been the case for other patterned styles like that, though I can’t say for sure since I haven’t ordered or seen them in stores.

So many cute options, but I think I need that rescue tank! I volunteer at an animal shelter with my mom and adopted my dog from the same shelter, so I love supporting it (and rocking cute tops!) Thanks for sharing that, and also for rescuing!!! <3

Awesome!! :) Sounds like it’s meant to be.

Wooo so glad you featured my hometown brand Albion!! Totally worth a visit to their store in SLC if you are ever there.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yes definitely! I’d like to visit SLC, maybe this winter. It’s “only” 8 hours away. :) The Albion store is definitely on my list if/when that happens.
Jenn @ Running on Lentils says
I will be in SLC next month so will definitely plan a visit. Thanks for the tip!

I ordered three Albion bottoms last winter, one full length legging in a solid color, one crop in a solid and a crop in a heathered shade. The two solid colors I ordered came in rather thick material, great for winter, and it feels good against the skin – but not at all comfortable if it’s even a little warm out (I’m a runner and do everything outside); even the crops can be suffocating. The one heathered crop I ordered came in a thinner material, better for mild weather.
BD says
I forgot to mention that these were the go capri and go long leggings, and despite my complaint about the warm fabric I do like them!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thanks for your input! What did you do for sizing versus your size in lulu/other brands? Also on the fence between crops and full length, but leaning toward crops…hm.
BD says
I’m usually an 8 in lulu leggings, and my Albion leggings are medium.
My go capris are definitely shorter than the current WUCs – the length falls right where my calf is fullest (I’m average height), and I think the leg opening is also smaller than the WUC.
The go long leggings are long. Lulu’s speed tights that I love so much are just as long, but the way the ankle fits makes that not so much of a problem. The go long opening actually flares out a bit, instead of sitting flush with the ankle, which creates an awkward fit. They should be easier to hem though, if you’re of a mind!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thanks for the warning about the crop length. I asked Albion about the actual inseam length in my size, and they’re definitely too short for me, so I ordered the full length. Glad you saved me the trouble because I don’t think I would’ve thought to ask otherwise! The full length antiguas are called extend, so I’m not sure if that’ll be different from the go longs. We’ll find out!!

Looking forward to your reviews of Albion (possible the go capri or extended version?) That antigua print is to die for. And Alo’s goddess legging! — both have been on my list for some time now! :)
Emily says
Oh, crap! I’m realizing now that you said the goddess legging wouldn’t suit your needs :( Anyone have info on these babies? How is the sizing compared to lulu?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Will definitely keep you posted about Albion if I order! Leaning toward getting the antigua crops, but hesitating a little since shipping and returns aren’t free… Also because I just spent a ton of money buying new bedding, haha, so my wallet is crying.
Marshmallow says
Captain Picard fabulous! Haha. I look forward to seeing some of the pieces in the Alala lookbook released and getting a closer look. My first order with them was a pair of crops and the mesh came damaged. The customer service was good, but I still got off on the wrong foot with the brand.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah I don’t blame you. My first order with them actually had an issue too (from their first collection) so it definitely put me off a bit at first. I feel like the little hiccups like that aren’t too shocking for a young brand, but with each season I feel like they’ve gotten stronger. I hope everything goes beautifully if you go for another order! Fall is looking promising.
Jenn @ Running on Lentils says
I’ve heard great things about Albion & Alo & have been wanting to try them. I think the reason I tend to stick to Lulu & Athleta are that I have local stores & don’t have to pay for shipping or returns. Trying out a new brand can be pricey if they’re not free & things don’t work out.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I just ordered the full length antigua slate leggings from Albion, so I will report back! :) Nordstrom has a fair bit of Alo (though not the stuff I highlighted here), and you can do free ship/returns there at least!
Farmer says
I love the looks of Alo’s goddess pants. I’m lulu sz 2 in all bottoms. Does anyone have suggestions on how Alo sizing compares? Not sure if I should order xs or xxs? I’m 5’4 and 115-120 lbs for reference. TIA!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I know this might not be ideal, but there are lots of reviews on Nordstrom of the goddess leggings: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/alo-goddess-ribbed-leggings/3594470?origin=keywordsearch You might be able to glean some useful sizing info there.
