More sneak peeks comin’ at ya: what we love is up now too!
Heads up, define lovers: heathered jeweled magenta is coming! I just snagged a great ebay deal on an old heathered paris pink define jacket and was lamenting that lulu doesn’t do much in the way of heathered colors anymore. Looks like I spoke too soon! I hope this isn’t a one-off thing and they do more heathered CRBs and defines in vibrant colors.
Also, my comment a few minutes ago about the sneak peek video was right: the iconic wrap is back. This was released around this time last year too. This year, it’s got a longer back that’s made of tencel.
Katelin noted more define and CRB colors are coming for summer. Huzzah! That includes this clarity yellow CRB. Looks like clarity yellow will be one of our summer colors (it was a fall/winter color a while back). I wonder if clarity yellow is the color of the tracker shorts from the video?
Two new colors! Iris flower, coming in an ebb to street tank, reminds me a little of power purple, but is much more of a blueish periwinkle, not really a purple. Poseidon, another new color, has solid potential. This one is reminiscent of alberta lake, I’d be curious to see the two together. The dancing warrior tank was popular last year.
Jeweled magenta seems to be in full force for May. There are already some swiftlies that have snuck into stores in this color, and even a rogue pair of speed shorts! This was a more minor color last summer (the LS swiftly was a space dyed scoopneck last time around), so maybe they’re doing more with it this year. There was a very similar white pleat to street a few months ago. Perhaps this will complement the upcoming tennis capsule? Although perhaps not, depending on timing.
Glossing over the pedal pace capsule a bit. This first came out in overseas markets in March, and because of the spring colors, I’m wondering if it was delayed and was meant to come out earlier. Katelin noted that an outdoor cycling kit (like the men’s one from last week) is also in the works in addition to this indoor cycling capsule.

I’m trying to figure out the new iconic wrap…. How come I don’t see the long back in the first pic of it from the front view?

me too! glad it’s not just me lol

Uhhh maybe in one pic she’s wearing it “upside-down” and the other one the right way? I dunno.
h|c says
two different ways to wear it…long, or rotate it 180deg and it’s cropped and kinda bunched.

poseidon is LOVELY. hoping it will be used liberally.

Here, here!!

I love jeweled Magenta. I had wished they had made more with that color last year. yay
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah it’s a great color. It’s a nice bright color that isn’t the same super-bright barbie pink for the umpteenth time (not that I mind barbie pinks, to be clear, lol).
h|c says
I’m not very girly but I love good pinks :)

Looks the same as your eBay find!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah in pics they look sooo similar! I did see a comparison though and paris is definitely MUCH brighter than JM, and I hear it’s thinner too. So, I’m happy with paris. :)

Aus website mysteriously uploaded some WUC in space dye jacquard slate/clarity yellow last night…………….

I cycle quite a bit and I wonder about LLM’s pedal pace collection. The no-show chamois in the cycle shorts, which sounds more aesthetically pleasing compared to other thicker chamois cycling shorts, would likely be much thinner, and I wonder how functional it is for longer rides. The strange v-waistband would also effectively lift and accentuate any tummy flab. Yes lift my boobs and butt, but tummy?? I’m curious enough to want to try it out. It can’t possibly be as awful as I think.
The other pieces in this collection don’t interest me at all. I would rather buy the typical 105/crb or inspire crops which function just as well for spin/long outdoor cycling and for other workout activities.
Poseidon… great name! I hope it comes in a CRB since we missed out on the alberta lake :) Would love to try out the pleat to street skirt too. The Hit your stride skirt was wonderful and I hope this one is well.

I agree that the pedal pace shorts look like they have a bit of a “flab shelf” for the tummy. Maybe it’ll fit better than it looks. And I agree that poseidon is a nice name. Creative and not cheesy like so many others. ;)

I get the point of the deep V on the spin shorts…that way there’s not fabric bunching when you’re leaning over the bike. but in reality, it won’t be…flattering…to anyone unless their tummy is super flat and lean.
Jane_Doe says
Yeah I’m going to try it out and see how it goes! Curious about the number of panels this pair of shorts have as well.

I think this capsule is for spinning – i.e. – a 1 hour class at the gym. I believe the capsule for outdoor riding has different stuff suited to outdoor longer miles on a bike. That’s why the no-show chamois might actually work even if it’s thin. You are just on the spin bike for an hour and even then you are up and down constantly (depending on the instructor of course).
angeline says
oh dear the strap on the pedal pace bra looks somewhat uncomfortable! :(
hehe i’m def gonna get the skirt since I missed it the last time it was out
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yes that neckline would drive me nuts! And despite it being higher coverage, those straps aren’t nearly substantial enough to support larger cup sizes.

Okay- I’m going to need that CRB in clarity yellow (to replace the mellow yellow one I have from a while back- it’s paper thin and pilling like crazy, although I’ve only worn it like 4 times), and I’ll take that ETS in iris flower. It totally resembles power purple, which is one of my faves. Maybe they’ll even do a Scuba in it. I went back and picked up the regal plum ITF crops, since I’m really loving the color. And I want to see more pieces in poseidon blue, as well. Good- finally some stuff to look forward to!

Yes, lots of potentially interesting colors coming our way! Of course, I’ve said I’ve liked other colors and ended up not getting anything in them, so time will tell for me.
