Weekend Long Sleeve + Trail Bound 7/8 Tights and 1/2 Zip + High Times Update

March 13, 2015 / 13 Comments

You know that one store I’ve mentioned a couple times that inexplicably gets stuff before other stores?  They’re at it again today:

Lululemon white lux indigo stripe weekend long sleeve

Lux indigo/white striped weekend long sleeve.  Looks really cute on her, and is a great combo with the navy bottoms (not sure exactly which ones those are).

Lululemon clear mint what the sport singlet trail bound 7/8 tights clear mint blue tropics

Clear mint what the sport singlet and trail bound 7/8 tights.  The bottom portion is definitely solid, not mesh, which I was wondering about last night.

Lululemon pink trail bound 1/2 zip

Strawberry milkshake trail bound 1/2 zip.

Lululemon black cherry weekend long sleeve

Black cherry weekend long sleeve and the new cyber stripe deep coal high times pants.

Important high times note: Katelin added to the What We Love comments thread that these are mis-marked.  She says they are luxtreme, not luon.

The Weekend LS is looking pretty awesome! The Trail Bound 1/2 zip is intriguing too but given the summer weather, it’s already out of season for us west coasters.

Very true. Both are lighter weight, but definitely on the later side for LS’s. Lucky for lulu, there are still lots of people for whom summer is still a distant hope, lol.

Uh oh. Luxtreme is more versatile than luon for me so now I’m tempted by those high times…

I agree, more versatile for me too. I generally hate high waistbands though (esp for working out, which kind of defeats most of the purpose) so I’m safe.

I’m unsure about the high waistband. I’m worried that I’ll have to yank it up frequently, but I have yet to “experiment” due to the price of said experiment! I don’t like that the waistband shows through tanks. But people apparently love them so I am curious.

How more versatile? Not sure if people have brought this up, but if they’re the same luxtreme as the inspires, they have a very distinctive texture to them-the stripes are raised, similar to the textured wave except not wavy. Those inspires were super tight in my normal size (2) and so uncomfortable/artificial feeling they went straight back.

For me, luxtreme is more versatile since I prefer it for workouts, and because it repels dog hair so I don’t have to change as soon as I get home. :P

Blah. I would have preferred the cyber stripes HT in luon, not luxtreme. I have a pair of luxtreme roll down WUs and the waist never stays up properly. I assume these would do the same :(

In my somewhat limited experience, the waistband on the high times is a little different than the rolldown WUs. It’s probably worth a try-on at least. :)

If the high times are actually luxtreme, does this mean I can potentially run in them without worrying about excessive pilling?

Yup. I thought of you when I saw that update! :) The only issue might be if they don’t stay in place during a run.

Definitely worth a try on. And is it unheard of to roll down the high times waist band? Seems silly, but I like options :)

You might be able to, but I don’t think the high times waistband will roll down as easily as the rolldown WUs so I’m not sure how well it would work out.
