Thought #1: I need to go do something interesting so I have more interesting pics than me standing in front of my mediocre mirror. The top of my list for big trips is heading north to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon soon because there is some ridiculously awesome stuff there. And I mean “awesome” as in literally AWEsome.
Thought #2: so, so busy this week. I went from having pretty slow weeks to suddenly EVERYTHING HAPPENING AT ONCE. I guess that’s how it usually goes. Things probably won’t level out this week, but maybe next week.
Thought #3: I’m moderately sunburned. I just thought you needed to know that. It’s very sad, especially considering that my shoulders are now approximately 327 shades darker than my midsection. Is ombre still in this season? I don’t know.

My Splits59 glory muscle tee is one of my older purchases. The loose fit breathes well, and I like that the big armholes and somewhat wide neckline show a little bit of accent color from my sports bra. I always end up being insanely matchy matchy with love red, because my CrossFit shoes are pretty much a dead ringer for love red so I ended up with a bunch of stuff. My workout was a triplet of toes to bar, box jumps, and wall balls. I did all 40 toes to bar as prescribed, HUZZAH.

Decided I pretty much love this combo. And as I’ve said before, pretty much obsessed with this tank for summer, so that might have something to do with it. The ombre version of this tank is half off for Splits59’s semi-annual sale, and I am really close to ordering it, since this is the only color I have. Need to decide before it sells out. Angst. Anyway, at CrossFit, we did a bunch of heavy front squats and then did a metcon with thrusters right afterward, which was, of course, great fun.

These shorts you guys. These. Shorts. I have been after a pair for several months and finally got them through a trade (ended up letting go of my quiet stripes). They are every bit as amazeballs as I hoped. I kind of copied one of last week’s outfits with the bright pink shorts and surge CRB. I actually wanted to wear the shorts with my purple devon tank above, but of course I had just worn that so I had to settle for this. The workout I did can basically be summed up as “too much running”. I’m getting vaguely better at running thanks to some tips from one of my gym’s trainers, but I’m still dreadfully slow. Because of my size, everyone always asks me if I’m a runner, but apparently that gene got left out somewhere in the “being small” package.

Reebok CrossFit Nano 3.0
I’m a green machine! My honey’s gym had a bring-a-friend-or-enemy day, so I tagged along. Although we are both crossfitters, we go to different gyms because…reasons. I did a team WOD with 3 other lovely ladies with rotating running, wall balls, push-ups, and squats. My honey’s team collectively kicked our collective butts, which was 100% expected, and I was reminded, yet again, that I need to spend more time working on push-ups. Perhaps a 50-a-day challenge to myself is in order.
Love this post! I I do Crossfit too and love seeing what other Crossfit ladies wear. I still don’t have the confidence to wear shorts at Crossfit, so I mostly wear Inspires.
Thanks for all the great posts! I’ve never seen the flash jacquard speed shorts before but you’ve just created a new must find item for me. Keep up the pace on the workouts. Must be amazing just being out in the woods: love the smell of the trees and foliage. Looking forward to Zion and Bryce pics soon.
