What I Wore: Cleaning Weights and Cleaning Pants

Hey look!  Yet another tank color that matches my sea check speeds!

This week was majestic because I finally reached my goal of a bodyweight clean:

Booya!

 Now I just need to, you know, actually reach full extension for goodness sake.  If I could do that properly, plus efficiently get under the bar to squat clean, I should be able to add a good bit of weight.  It’s a work in progress, always.

On the not-so-happy side, I had some foot pain arise this past week that’s stopped me from working on double unders.  Sadface.  I’ve been trying to tone things down with the impact for a few days but unfortunately am still dealing with some pain.

After the day’s workout, we had a little birthday celebration for one of my coaches.  The nights here have been getting pretty cold, and sweaters are becoming a necessity.  I really like how the fatigue and violet turned out together.

We went to a “throwdown” at antoher gym that’s basically an informal, 1-WOD mini-competition with all the local crossfitters.  Afterward, a group of us went out to dinner–still in our WOD attire–and everyone gave us funny looks when we rolled into the restaurant.  Not even sorry, people.

The WOD itself involved all bodyweight movements, one of which was burpees.  On wet grass.

This happened:

GAWD.

This was only the SECOND time I wore these!  A couple days later, I’m *still* working on getting the stains out (most are gone, at least) and my pants reek of oxyclean.  A large part of me wishes I could just order a new pair while they’re still in stock, which I admit is mildly crazy but at least then I would still have a pristine pair. <cries>

I just scored this blue beauty off ebay last week.  I have the solid black vail PO which is a favorite of mine, and, as we’ve established, I freakin’ love cobalt, so when I saw this come up for dirt cheap, it was a no-brainer.

Then Manpanion said it reminded him of something out of Star Trek.

…Sigh.
