The girl in the swiftly pics is super hot. Are you doing the open this year? I’m glad they have a scaled division now.

Lol yes she has great cheekbones. :) I’m doing the open, yes. I actually did it last year, too…poorly… I can do some advanced movements VERY well because I am so small, but weighted movements eff me over, so I’m a weird mix of scaled and not.

In the scaled division of the first half of 15.1 (why didn’t they call it A and B? guess that would make too much sense), you are allowed to do ground to overhead in lieu of snatches, but not in rx’d. If C&J were allowed in rx I would do that and just deal with it being heavy because I am a T2B queen, but I guess I will have to do scaled because my max snatch is a pathetic ~60 and I doubt a +20% PR will happen. Hell, I will probably still do C&J even at 55, since I am infinitely more efficient at that versus the snatch. I COULD do it rx’d and accept a score of 20 (any rx score >0 is automatically ranked higher than even the highest scaled score so technically this is better) and then just rest up for 15.1A (which isn’t exactly going to be impressive regardless, probably 90-95 if I was fresh), but I’m betting my coaches will tell me to do scaled because they’ll want to see me keep moving and get a “good” score.

Are you more of a scaled lady or closer to rx? Are you signed up?

I did! I started doing crossfit last year at around the same time the open started so I was wtf is this? I suck at T2B so there’s no way I can do RX. My max snatch is 75 right now and have been making steady gains ever since I switched boxes last fall. I’m the double under queen at my box but that’s about it. lol

So I ended up doing it rx’d and got 4 snatches at 75. Totally was not expecting that! Not sure how bad you are T2B but you might surprise yourself, it is 9 minutes after all. :) I’m sure the double unders will come in handy soon, they always come up in the open. And I will suffer mightily. :P
