Arguably a more exciting upload tonight than lots of the other uploads lately. Quite a few colors showed up that we can probably expect to see more of in February, so that made upload a lot more interesting. That said, animal swirl, fatigue chevron shuffle, and oil slick camo are still going strong, but I’m guessing they will be fading out after this week as new February colors take over. Several much-anticipated items also turned up today, which surely was a source of at least a little upload excitement for many lulu-lovers.
Ever the speeds junkie, I was surprised to see these 2 new solids pop up: alberta lake and raspberry glo. The quilted waistband on the AL are kind of fug, but the color itself is nice. The raspberry glo look like classic lulu speeds to me. Both are 4-way stretch, and raspberry glo is only in Canada right now. There’s a similar pair of ras glo speeds from a couple years ago with a quilted waistband, but I think these are much cuter.
And of course, let’s not forget about the fatigue chevron shuffle/split pea speed shorts. These are US only.
Two new scuba hoodies: fatigue green chevron shuffle and biggie prism. Both of these have been seen in Canada stores, but they uploaded in both countries today.
Alberta lake and wren ebb to street pants have been seen in some stores, and are now online in both countries. Alberta lake is not available in 2 or 12.
Canada got a heaping dose of the new mystic jungle: rolldown wunder under crops, speed tights, and rolldown wunder under pants. You’ll notice that it seems lulu quickly replaced the speed tight ii (just released this past fall) with the speed tight iii: the latest has the ruching at the ankle again, like old times.
The US got the new vintage pink/raspberry glo free to be wild bra. Unlike some recent FTBWs, this one was uploaded in all sizes 2-12. US also got good ol’ solid black and white. Canada caught up and finally got the menthol/alberta lake. Related to that, several Canadians noted that the menthol FTBW was repriced to $52 in stores. It’s still $48 online. Hmmm.
Another anticipated addition: the black cherry cool racerback. US only.
No one was anticipating the bomb bomber jacket, but this is a new color: bark berry. (Ok, maybe that was a little harsh, but the set-up was just too good to pass up.) These jackets are in Canada only.
Speaking of bark berry, new desert snake bark berry energy bra.
I also love the menthol energy bra (added to both sides), and am sad that lulu only seems to make my size energy bras in the summer. <crying>
The miss misty jacket was added to the US in 3 colors.
Two new mudra scarf colors: silver spoon/ghost/black and inkwell/early blue, both with plaid patterning.
New high mileage duffel in new colors naval blue/silver fox. US only.
Other upload notes:
– Of course, the warp knit tights and time warp SS were uploaded.
– New alberta lake, heathered slate, and heathered dark wren be present jackets in Canada. The dark wren looks really gray, except in the close-ups.
– Canada got a random addition of a bead envy silver spoon solo bra. A little odd considering the solo bra colorways are all much more recent than the Black Friday release that bead envy was a part of.
– That fug-tastic pleat on long sleeve, seen in the UK earlier today, got added.
– Not to be out-fugged, the peplum pullover had to join in the fun with a couple new colors. Yours for the low low price of $108!
– The city one piece continues to be weird and mildly confusing as to what practical purpose it may serve.
– The US got the new jet blue in the flow crops that were in Canada last week.
– Menthol/inkwell tracker shorts are in the US. They’re already in Canada.
– Speaking of that color combo, inkwell/menthol inspire crops are now on both sides.
– Canada got the tech mesh high times pants.
Edit: one more thing…
I almost missed these, but came back to add this in thanks to the comment thread on this post. They were uploaded to Canada only. This is naval blue again (like the new duffel), and pretty new print sea side silver fox alberta lake! These are brushed speed tight iii’s, and I posted the second pic to help dispel more rumors that the speed tight iii’s don’t have pockets. Behold, pockets AND ruching! :)

Yay finally ordered something! It’s been like two months since I bought any lulu. I got the vintage pink FTBW, black cherry CRB, and the inkwell/menthol inspires. Also, how many times are they going to release that space dye cadet blue swiftly? I feel like this is the third time it’s been restocked (crew, scoop neck, and now this one).
Agent Athletica says
Awww cadet, you’re tired of cadet? :)
Agent Athletica says
…Couldn’t help it…
h|c says
hahaha ;)
cadet_blue says
LOL. I love cadet blue. But srsly I need a different color swiftly.
Jane_Doe says
I tried on a new S/S swiftly tech in heathered Alberta Lake. Or I thought it was AL, but the color code starts with J. The educators were clueless too. It feels like the previously released heathered Cadet Blue, soft and not very thick. Worth getting, I thought. :)
Guest says
Yes, the color code on the AL swiftly is JDIX or something bizarre. It’s Alberta Lake. My store was out of my size. I tried the size down and loved it but need my actual size. I bought the cadet one. I didn’t buy any of the other cadets that have been out so finally took the plunge on that one.
Jane_Doe says
I love my cadet swiftly tech, it’s a good buy :)
Agent Athletica says
Yes, JKIO is alberta lake. The ultra violet space dye code was weird too.
Jenn @ Running on Lentils says
What will you pair the dark cherry CRB with? It’s pretty but I’m wondering if it’s too dark to pair with black. Would probably look good with cadet blue though…
cadet_blue says
Good question… I have a lot of black and purples in my collection so we’ll see what it looks like in person. Maybe my deep coal rebel runners? Looking at pictures online of the high times it looks like it would pair ok with black.

The Speed Tight iiis may incorporate the cute ruching from the original Speed Tights that the SPeed Tight iis did not have – but they lost the oh so useful side leg pockets. I’d love to have both ruching and side pockets but if I could only have one, I’d take the side pockets by a mile.
Agent Athletica says
Someone else mentioned the side pocket also. But, at the very top of this picture, it looks like the same side slit pocket that the ii’s had: https://images.lululemon.com/is/image/lululemon/LW5H94S_017627_8?$pdp_zoom$
Agent Athletica says
It’s hard to make out because of how busy the print is, but I swear it’s there…
Adlgel says
I think that might be just a seam, not a pocket but I agree it’s hard to tell.
Adlgel says
On closer look I agree that the pocket is still there so that’s awesome – ruching and side pockets is a win in my book.
Agent Athletica says
Yup! Especially with the pic Judith posted above. Glad they got one right. :)
Judith Braun says
here’s a pic from the other speed tight iii’s that were uploaded tonight :) looks like the pockets are still there.
Agent Athletica says
Aha! I knew I wasn’t crazy. :)

Didn’t buy anything this week for once. I am a little disappointed the high times mesh pants are now priced at $98 though I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
I am kinda LOLing at the comments from LLA though. Of course LLA deleted it but I guess someone finally called her out on the shady affiliate link the second the upload goes up. Same with LLM. (Way to disclose ladies!) Both of them never used to do that. What a turn off.
h|c says
what do they do?
Anon says
They make a comission every time you click/buy something off a link. I have no problems with bloggers trying to make some money off of blogging (I get it’s very time consuming to maintain and put out content regularly), I just don’t like a blogger being shady about it. Be open, be transparent. Both LLA and LLM just recently started with affiliate linking but neither disclosed it. Notice they both throw up upload links as fast as possible now? It’s to get people to click on that before any purchases are made = money for them.
Agent Athletica says
Yes, that’s basically what I was clumsily trying to say above. :) Your comments make it clear that readers don’t like to feel like a blogger is hiding something, especially about money–it just feels icky somehow. Why make readers feel that way when you don’t have to?
Agent Athletica says
So, the reason that the lulu blogs only recently started incorporating affiliate links is because before that, no affiliate program existed for lulu. No links, no banner ads, nothing. They only finally entered that space in October-ish.
The thing about affiliate linking is that even if you don’t disclose it on every.single.post., there is no reason to dodge the issue if someone does mention it. There are MANY blogs that leverage affiliate links in strategic, seamless, non-spammy ways–e.g., highly successful blogger juggernauts The Skinny Confidential and Cupcakes and Cashmere. The beauty of affiliate programs and similar monetization strategies is that they provide the blogger with some compensation for their time (usually very modest) while not costing the reader anything extra. Everyone wins, basically. While I understand it can feel spammy or annoying to post a disclosure every 5 seconds (I’ve often struggled with that myself), there’s no need for any blogger to feel the need to hide the fact that they make money off their blog should it come up. That’s just how life works–you want to get a return on investment for your time, and when you can do it without exploiting your readers or ripping anyone off, hey, that’s freakin’ sweet.
There’s my $0.02 on lulu blog drama for the day. :)

Still thinking about the CRB in Dark Cherry- it looks awfully close to Plum, which I have a couple tops in, so I’ll pop into my store on my way to class tomorrow. Was hoping to see the new Wild Tanks- maybe next week. The Speeds in AL are nice as well, but I can’t get past the waistband….
Agent Athletica says
FYI, LuluAddict posted this comparison that I saw on Facebook: https://scontent-b-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/10933766_10204473481771872_3673140724060742495_n.jpg?oh=d2a05f8e42b0a89a79f7b05f5831ad47&oe=555EA514 Tank is plum, pants are cherry, headband is bordeaux. :)
Mykonosforlife says
Oooh, they are different. Yeah, I have the CRB in Bali Breeze and Heathered Menthol and they’re basically identical, but you’re right on this one- thanks :)
h|c says
they let their blind designer pick the waist band for that one.
Anon says
Dark cherry is darker than plum. I think it’s different enough to have both ;)
Mel says
I tried on and bought the chevron speeds in a local store today. I really like them even though they may be hard to match…challenge accepted. Was considering the pink FTBW but it’s already sold out, so it just wasn’t meant to be. It’s ok, my goal is to be more selective and save for one or two bright tops (hopefully coming soon in styles like push UR limits or scoop neck), and then I’m good to go for a long while.
Agent Athletica says
I’m guessing pinks will probably be the best match for the fatigue chevrons. I’ve seen people pair a sizzle or split pea CRB with the fossil/split pea speeds, so I imagine that will also look nice with these.
Mel says
We are on the same page, I was also thinking of trying pinks first! I think it will be a nice pairing. Now we just need to hope for some fun pink tops to come out this spring/summer. :)
Jane_Doe says
Awwww, I WANT Raspberry Glo SSs!! Sad about the baby nursery quilted band on the Alberta Lake SSs. Might grow on me though. :)
Visited the LLM store (in Asia) and tried on 4 pairs of speed shorts. I’m a small 4. The Flash and Stained Glass Love speeds fit the same, a little “airy” loose but ok. The Atomic Red Multi Prism fit smaller and the print is prettier up close, like a Monet garden. The Alberta Lake/Pink Pebble feels much longer (but not wider) at the back, I thought.
It’s annoying that LLM size quality control sucks, but it could be an opportunity for you. :D Since the Menthol Energy Bra doesn’t come in size 2- a possible solution is to visit the store, and ask for all the size 4s, and pick the smallest bra. I’ve done that before for the Secret Garden energy bra. The difference in the band width could be up to a disgraceful half-inch.
Agent Athletica says
Haha, good point about the menthol energy bra. By the time I am at a store next, I doubt there will be more than one or two left to try, if even that. I should measure the band of my 2s and then bring a tape measure to the store, hah. And thanks for the notes about the speeds. :) I still kind of want flash light, but I already have flash jacquard, so that seems kind of silly… :)
Jane_Doe says
Nah, not silly. I’ll do the same for all Bali Breeze/Menthol stuff :)
Samantha Simons says
Loving both of the speeds. The alberta lake waistband IS fug but my waistline isn’t slim anymore so its always covered anyhow. :)
Wonder if surge is going to make another appearance since it popped up on the men’s side this week? I hope so! I also wish women would get the green the guys have now.
Agent Athletica says
It seems that most of the time the colors don’t overlap between the men’s and women’s side. I do love surge though and wouldn’t complain if it came back. :)
