Pranayama scarves are arriving in stores.  This is from a US store but I hear they’re also in Canada.  This is the deepest cranberry/deep coal. [Lululemon Center 1]

Do you happen to know what US store had the mini check pique vinyasa?

Hi, Brooke. It was the fashion island store in Newport Beach, CA.

I did get a new swiftly! They had pigment in my size, I am so excited about it. I almost found a prize at Lorna Jane but guilted myself out of the $150 price tag. :( Pics tomorrow when I’m not dead-tired.

Yay! Glad they had it. I look forward to the report :)

Since I’m trying (*cough*) to do a spending detox, lately when there’s something like that that I want, I ask myself, “Would I rather have this, or…” and it could be another item that I have, or want, or it could be a saving goal (money toward a house…) and I usually feel good about not getting it in the end.

I’ve explored a little at LJ and have found that I love their Slouchy Gym Tank. I have one, and it gets major rotation. I’d definitely recommend it. In general, though, I don’t think the brand’s really for me, and their bras don’t work for me (I know they’re a huge draw for others).

I often try to ask myself those same questions. Like, $80 could buy these pants, or it could buy xyz (2 dinners out? most of a pair of new crossfit shoes? 40 boxed brownie mixes?). Sometimes it helps, and sometimes it just makes me frustrated that I don’t have money for all of it. :P Next time I’m near an LJ I’ll have to look for the slouchy gym tank, though.

My guess is you’ll have more leeway soon enough :) I’m 29 (almost 30!), and there’s no way I could’ve bought all that I’m buying when I was a few years younger (and consider myself lucky that I have it now!). And it sounds like you’ve got something cooking.

Also… full disclosure, I did not ask those questions when I bought the grey mini check vinyasa ;) (Oh and since I’m really loving working with a trainer lately, that’s a pretty easy comparison for me. Yet another pair of crops, or more training sessions? But it occurs to me that I’m also thinking about it as the things that I *can* do with my money instead of the restriction I’m placing on myself…)

Okay sorry if this was really boring. Such is what fills my mind these days.

I certainly hope you’re right. And not to worry, my brain is composed of approximately the same things, I’m not bothered. :P I think the most frustrating thing is that even when I was a grad student living off of a measly stipend, I had some wiggle room and I could expand my lulu budget through selling, etc. Even if I had to work towards things slowly, there was always a way to make it work. Not so since I moved this year. No matter how much I sell or how much I hustle, there is always something more important that I should be using the $$ on versus new lulu or whatever (although of course I still get stuff here and there–usually after selling off more than the new thing cost and a huge helping of guilt). So, that financial disempowerment is very frustrating. This has been a personal vent. :) Hopefully I’ll somehow be magically rich in like 2-5 years and I can just laugh about this while rolling in piles of all the spandex I could ever want.

Haha – that last line totally made me laugh out loud in public! I’m rooting for you! I see where you’re coming from, though and I’m glad we can vent to each other :) (Sometimes, I do think, my poor brain… it used to have something else in it… I swear!)
