New Free to Be Wild Bras: Black Cherry and Heathered Slate/Clear Mint

February 19, 2015 / 8 Comments

Two new free to be wild bras today, both spotted in Canada stores:

Lululemon black cherry free to be wild bra

Black cherry with bark berry and raspberry glo straps.  The straps are killing this one for a lot of people since there are two colors and the bark berry is kind of muted and bleh.

Lululemon heathered textured greyt free to be wild bra

Another new one.  No color confirmation on this one, but I would guess it’s the new heathered textured greyt (the same color on the vintage pink speed shorts trim) with clear mint straps.  The straps MIGHT be lemon lime, the new color from the swimwear line, but I think lemon lime is too yellow-hued while clear mint is more of a green tone.  I will update this post once I get tag confirmation.

Update: ok, I got one wrong, and one right.  It’s heathered slate with clear mint straps. (I thought it looked too dark for heathered slate but it must’ve just been the lighting in the pics.)

[Thanks to Agent R for both of these photos]

Everytime I say I am done with my frivolous lulu spending they come out with another dang FTBW that I feel I need. Why!!!! I really like the grey one, but just bought the wee stripe/split pea bra last month!!!!

I love the FTBW but can they not come up with more color combos? I’m wearing the grey/antidote(?) right now, which seems really similar to this heathered grey one. I also have the silver fox/menthol one on the way which I think is a little bit like the rocky road one too. Would it hurt to switch it up?

It’s true, there have been quite a few repeats. They haven’t done any that I can think of in the blue family, which seems like a large gap. There was the tonka stripe/antidote and wee stripe/split pea, and now slate/clear mint… Seems a little repetitive.

I picked up the black cherry one in store today. I love this colour! I actually don’t mind the muted bark berry since the raspberry glo is so bright.

I got the black cherry CRB in the mail today. It’s lovely but I hate that it’s made of luon light.

CRBs are generally made with luon light, but there’s so much variation in the fabric that some of them feel more like regular luon while others feel like tissue paper. Pretty annoying when the latter happens with a nice color. :

Even before I scrolled down to your comment about the black cherry FTBW, I was hatin on the straps. Maybe if the straps were two bright colors. I love the other FTBW, clear mint is one of my fav colors.

I think the two-toned strap situation in general is kind of odd. I like the contrasting straps versus the rest of the bra, but 3 colors on one bra seems a little busy to me.
