New Cycling Gear + Rollin With My Omies Hoodie + More in Stores

July 29, 2014 / 8 Comments

New specialized cycling jersey and bibshort in a highly questionable floral print.  From the UK upload.  The print has no name, the colorway for this is just “black”.  I wonder if this is just for the cycling items or if it’s a sign of things to come… I’m hoping it’s just for the cycling, because another floral print would probably make my brain explode.

they posted about the artist that designed the print for this year’s kit on the Lululemon blog on June 30:

I thought I’d like it more but I don’t like it at all in the upload pics, last year’s kit was much nicer!

Oh thanks for the tip! Interesting that one of the comments says it was originally supposed to be available in May, but it’s nearly August…! I agree that last year’s was better. I can see how this year’s might’ve been nice on paper, but something was lost in the execution…

The cycling top was very very heavily 95% “inspired” by a dress from the Balmain F/W2012 baroque-theme collection (Image from Beauty RollerCoaster blog).
Kim K wore the dress and looked stunning in it. Somehow, a lot got lost in design translation and the cycling top looked more like my grandmother’s best lace tablecloth.

I doubt LLM would repeat this design for the rest of their collection, it seems to be a one-off.

Wow that’s an interesting observation, thanks!! I agree that something got lost in translation. The shorts especially are off for me–they look more like a cheesy tourist shirt than baroque…

The Rollin’ with my Om’ies hoodie is so comfy. You have to size wayyy down though. Even the store employee told me as I was digging around for my usual size. I ended up with a 6 and I’m a 36D. I’ve notices that their tops lately are biiiig. Open Your Heart tank sz 10 could have been maternity wear for me but the neckline was GORGEOUS!!! Oh, and the EASY BREATHE BRA>>> amazing…..the DEFINE BRA…..very comfy…no pocket for liners so that’s a no for me. Why am I such a nerd??? I could talk all day about this dam clothing line.

Yeah they’ve been doing a lot of billowy stuff lately. I suspected the omies hoodie would be HUGE, so that’s not surprising. Bummer about the define bra! Cups are a dealbreaker for me–I hate “headlights”.

And you’re in good company ya know! I have become such a nerd I have a whole freakin’ blog about it, lol! :)
