Alala had their first spring product drop this week. Everything that’s new is very cohesive and centers around their new blue: skydiver. It’s a lovely, clear shade that looks like spring without going too far into pastel territory. This is their new t-back tank, a loose, airy style with an adjustable back strap to modulate your level of back exposure.
I really like both of their new bra styles. The cross back bra (top pic) has just a hint of skydiver, and the design reminds me of last season’s snap bra, which I love and wear all the time. The perforated pindot look you’re seeing on this bra looks like it’s going to be a big theme in this season’s collection. The seamless bra (bottom pic) is also cute, but it’s light support and only comes in sizes S/M/L, so I’m not sure whether it’ll work for me. Fortunately, it has slots for cups, which will help with shape since seamless fabric tends not to have much shape on its own.
Their signature flyweight tee got a makeover this season with updated seaming and mesh placement. Another difference I noticed is that the previous version of the flyweight had black mesh no matter the color, whereas the new version has mesh in the same color the body of the tee is, which you can see on the new skydiver flyweight.
I also noticed that Bandier has already received two pieces from their electric stone capsule: the blocked crop tights and swell crop tank. These aren’t on Alala’s site just yet but hopefully will be soon!
Overall, it looks like a really promising start to the Alala spring collection. To be honest, their spring ’15 seasonal styles and colors were hit or miss for me, so I mostly just stuck with core styles that season. I don’t think that’s going to be the case this time around! You can see the rest of what’s new (so far) here. Remember that all you lovely readers get a 15% discount on the Alala main site when you enter AA15 at checkout. :)
Sweaty Betty’s mid-season sale is underway, and the prices are pretty killer. Everything is at least 50% off and things are moving fast!! You can pick up a few things I have and love, like the liberty luxe pants (above) or the thermal run leggings. The hypo glisten LS I have is on sale too! See my previous Sweaty Betty reviews here.
I had my eye on three items, and unfortunately all of them sold out of my size super fast, so I suppose they weren’t meant to be mine. Ah well. If you’re curious, I was eyeballing the splits 7/8 leggings, coordinating elite seamless hoodie, and the glissade thermal cover-up. A few other sizes are still available! The sale goes through March 3, so if you’re on a February spending ban too, you’ll still have time to decide if you want anything.
I’m loving the new paradise pink from lululemon. I’ll be honest, it’s hard for me to resist a good pink. I do have lots of pink lulu already though, so maybe my willpower will win out if the styles in this color aren’t all that different from what I have.
There’s also a new cool racerback in boom juice this week, as well as an interesting new textured restless pullover in lakeside blue.
Another item that’s a bit late in the season, there’s a cozy new rulu pullover on the block: the make a move long sleeve.

I really love the perforated business on the Alala stuff. I also like the All Day mesh t-shirt on bandier. It reminds me of the Olympia mesh sleeve t-shirt that I like that is ALWAYS sold out in my size.

True, it’s definitely a similar vibe. :)

I think it’s interesting that Alala used the same blonde model this season as Crane and Lion does since the design aesthetics of these two brands seem so different to me. She looks good in the clothes though!

Oh huh, I didn’t notice that at first! They look slightly different on the two sites, but that might just be makeup/lighting. I’ve seen a few models pop up in multiple places. An old model for lulu (Adrienne Ho) has a totally different look modeling for Free People Movement and her own blog versus the cutesy look she had going on with lulu.
