Start this week. Tuesdays and Thursdays. IMO, the uploads seem to be smaller each time vs one big drop on one day though. But yes, for the holidays they double uploads each week of new products :)
Yup, like the other commenter noted, lulu does twice weekly uploads between Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are typically at the same time of day as normal weekly upload.

Yikes – that’s a crazy expensive sports bra! Make the FTBW from lulu look like a bargain! I’m talking look alikes (i.e. pretty much exact) from TJMaxx/Marshalls/Winners in stuff like CRB’s, sculpt tanks, WUP/WUC etc.

Totally OT but wanted to get your opinion, AA (and everyone else!), but I just received my Vimmia reversible speed pants and LOVE them so naturally I started looking at their other pants and saw the Vimmia X line. What do you think of their “special yarn” and the circulation benefits that they’re touting? I’m always wary of health claims like that but they look kind of awesome… the price is not very palatable at $175 but the website I got the other Vimmia pants from is having a 30% off Black Friday sale (bay area fitwear) and I can’t decide whether or not to pull the trigger! Any and all thoughts are super appreciated :) TIA!

i also finally ordered those reversible speed pants. the M popped back up on bandier today (AND their black friday discount!) so i pulled the trigger. i can’t wait to get them since everyone seems to like them so much!

I’m glad you asked! :) I have a lot of training as a scientist (I’m a biochemist by day) so I feel like I have some ability to critique their claims. I almost wrote a looooong comment addressing each individual claim, but reined myself in, haha. Here are my thoughts, in brief: (edit, ok, not that brief, but whatever, I can’t help myself)
– I’ve heard good things about Vimmia X fabric quality and fit from Instagram. However, these posts appeared to be sponsored (i.e., it looked like Vimmia sent a TOOOON of pants to popular IGers) so I’m not sure if they were biased.
– Compression does help with things like circulation, muscle recovery, etc. That’s not something new or special with Vimmia X. You can get those benefits from any good pair of compression tights.
– The aesthetic benefits seem shaky to me. The fine print says you have to wear them at least 6 hours a day for 30 days straight to see ANY difference, which no one is going to do, so this claim seems negligible in practice, even if there is data to back it up. (And again, I wonder whether those benefits would be achievable with similar use from ANY good pair of compression pants.)
– The thing about their yarn having some kind of infrared technology and bioactive minerals sounds like an absolute load of crock to me. They said their fabric can “convert body heat into energy” which makes me want to cry and also bash my head through a wall. That is just silly.
– On that note, it bothers me that a lot of the campaign seems to be heavily infused with pseudoscientific, smart-sounding words chosen to lead people to believe the pants will make them both stronger and hotter. There’s nothing to actually back that up, and I think the way they’ve phrased a lot of it is misleading (e.g., the “convert body heat to energy” above).
In sum, it is very possible that the Vimmia X pants are really excellent. They might fit and feel fantastic, perhaps even better than most. That part seems totally plausible to me. However, I don’t see any believable evidence that these have any performance or cosmetic benefits that are significantly better than other high-quality workout pants.
OT, I received my Carbon38 order, Michi crops with mesh pockets, Alala blocked crops and fitted tank with gold mesh. AA, you are right. Michi XS is a little loose on me but I love everything else about it so it is a keeper. I love the fabric of Alala’s pieces and the look of the gold mesh, but the glitters are already all over the black fabric. I am worried how durable they are over time. Oh, the tank in XS is a little tight on me but the crops in XS is perfect. I am 32C, 25, and 33.
wait it’s just glitter stuck on the mesh? it’s not actually metallic thread that the mesh is made of?! everything i hear about the alala sparkly collection is disappointing. I’m so sad!!!
Glad it was at least a partially successful haul. :) Thanks for the sizing info on the clutch tank, I’m tempted to try one on this weekend’s sale but I already have *so* much in my cart. :P
