It’s Official: The 2015 SeaWheeze Entry Shorts

April 16, 2015 / 8 Comments

Lulu HQ has spoken!  Official pics of the entry shorts for this year’s SeaWheeze half marathon are here:

So the preview from earlier this week was spot on.  Get it, spot… Har har.  These are 4-way stretch, like everything else these days.  The inspiration seems to be samples under a microscope (which goes along with their clues up to this point) plus lots of color.

You can see the official announcement along with the men’s shorts here.

OMG these look like clown shorts. I can’t even. I’m running the race for the third time this year, and I’m super disappointed. Anyone want my size 4 Trackers?

Seriously? I can’t believe how hideous these are. WTH were the designers thinking?? The expo better be good.

I’m just happy I won’t have to see these hideous things in the stores…

    The idea is interesting, but…

Just a thought, but are they making these unappealing on purpose to dissuade those who only register to resell the shorts, so that only race participants would want to acquire these for the memories? Bummed runner here.

    I’m not gonna say I like them…

But I don’t hate them, especially after reading what the concept behind the design is. Not that it matters for me, as I won’t be attending SeaWheeze.

Hmm I kind of think the men’s shorts are cool since the design is the course map in different sizes, colors, and orientations. At least that’s something. Definitely jealous of my boyfriend. Ha

I didn’t like these at first but a couple friends of mine are really excited about them and when I showed them to my hubby he thought they were “Really cool!”

One comment I read that is awesome is that they will go with any color top which is so true. I definitely won’t end up wearing them for the run but I will wear them for my training in the next few months :)
