Merry belated Christmas to all my internet friends out there! No matter what you’re celebrating (or not celebrating), I hope you enjoyed a relaxing, joyous weekend with people you love.
The holidays and the end of the year are always a time of gratitude and reflection on the year past. So much happened in the last year, both personally and on this blog. I’m so grateful for so much positive growth and change.
Thank you for helping each other and truly creating a community here. I love seeing the conversations that happen in the comments and the way people are always so willing to jump in and help others with advice and ideas. Even the conversations that veer “off-topic” make me happy to see, because I love that people are engaged and interested.
Thank you for your support and positivity toward me, too. As you can probably imagine, it can be scary to put a little bit of yourself out into the world. Even though I’ve been doing this for a while now, there are still times it’s a little terrifying to hit “publish,” and times I spend all day feeling nervous about whether people will like what I created. I appreciate every positive word and little bit of encouragement.
Thank you for sharing in my obscure little activewear hobby. I love having people who appreciate the details and get a little nerdy about spandex with me.
Thank you all for sharing a little bit of your days in my little corner of the internet. I often feel isolated and lonely in my tiny town, and I cherish every connection and common ground I’ve found here. I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know a few of you, and so glad even for those I don’t know.
So, to each and every one of you: merry everything and a happy always!

Merry Christmas, Suzanne! I love your blog. You’ve done such an amazing job here, and in my mind, you’re one of the leading activewear/ positive life bloggers. You’re such a ray of sunshine. Thank you for all of your hard work.
Here’s to an amazing 2017 with the best activewear, many PRs, and a year full of joy!
Agent Athletica says
Thank you for the encouragement, Allie. :) It’s so great to have you here! Wishing you all those things in 2017 too. ;)

Merry Christmas! So happy to hear about your positive turn, I remember when things were sort of gloomy for you on the boards before this blog so it’s so great to hear things took a turn for the better! I love our community as well. My husband was active Air Force and we moved so much and I too was lonely and have made life long friends on these boards! It’s amazing how something so simple can bring so many people together!
Will you be going to SW? I’d love to read and see your SW journey on this blog some day!
Agent Athletica says
I don’t know whether to be impressed that you remember those old posts on the boards or embarrassed, lol! I can definitely understand that loneliness. I’m still *really* isolated here–even after 3 years, I have literally zero local friends, minus a couple people I’m chummy with at work. It’s still hard at times, but it’s easier to manage when other things are going well for me, and when I have an internet community to fall back on. :)
I don’t currently have any plans to go to SW. I’ve never run a half before, although there’s a popular one in beautiful Moab, UT (5 hr drive) that I’ve considered. I’m going to try to run a bit more when spring comes but we’ll see what happens from there…
allie says
oooh run the Moab half! I’ve run it twice now (the one in early November), and it is AWESOME! So well done, and the course is amazing. Just register early- it sells out quickly.
Agent Athletica says
Oh good, glad to hear some firsthand experience! I would definitely lean toward the one in November, because I know there’s no way I would be able to convince myself to train through the winter in cold weather. But first I suppose I should see whether I can enjoy regular running at all before I commit to running a half! ;)

Happy Holidays to you, Suzanne! Thank you for curating a fun and safe space where I can connect with people with common interests. I feel fortunate to be part of the community!

Happy Holidays! Thanks for creating such a great blog – it’s one of my favorite things to check up on when I get a rare few minutes to myself. Looking forward to a 2017 full of more awesome posts!

Love this – love your positivity and happy spirit. Privileged to be part of your little world! Holiday greetings from Tahoe :0) xo
Agent Athletica says
Thank you Claire!! When it comes to the blogging world (or perhaps the internet in general!), it seems like positivity breeds more positivity, so I’m going to keep trying to move in that direction. :) Hope your year is off to a great start!

Merry late Christmas Suzanne! and to the AA community. I discovered your blog this year looking for reviews on Sweaty Betty gear and oh my its been an amazing journey since then:)
You’ve created a the best little active wear world within these pages. Thanks for all your hard work. As a newbie to high end active wear this year, I’ve learnt a lot from this community!
Looking forward to what 2017 has in store!

Happy holidays, AA!
You are my favorite blogger. While I love your content, it’s really your warm, positive, non-judgmental, tactful, and witty style that keeps me coming back.
I wanna be your friend IRL! And I’m sure many others here feel the same way… in fact I want this whole AAcommunity to be friends IRL :)
The very best to you and all of you other readers and commenters for the coming year!
Agent Athletica says
Aww thank you Carrie! It’s too bad we don’t all live in the same place and can’t do group hikes, fitness classes, etc. Ah well, at least we have the internet. :) Happy late New Year!

Happy Holidays Suzanne, and a belated congratulations on your marriage! Your wedding photos looked so lovely–I love the idea of a small wedding and you got such great photos! Thank you again for the great content–I started reading your blog about 2 years ago when I started getting into activewear and Lululemon and it’s been great following along on your journey!
Agent Athletica says
Thank you Catherine! I’m so glad you’ve stuck around, and I love following your latest active hauls on Insta, too. ;)
