I got my first dance bag from Caraa over the summer in a beautiful shade of azure blue. I was swooning over the photos I saw of the white mesh version, but at the time it was unavailable. When they re-released it a few weeks back, I was thrilled to finally get my paws on one of my own!
Disclosure: this bag was complimentary from Caraa Sport. As always, all opinions are my own.
My blue dance bag has a slightly more sporty, casual look, while the white is a bit more sophisticated. To highlight that, I paired this bag with two different looks. The first outfit is a pretty typical workday outfit for me. My go-to uniform is a relaxed-fit sweater, skinny jeans, and ankle or OTK boots. Unlike my workout wardrobe, my casual wardrobe consists almost exclusively of neutrals or dark tones.
Caraa’s backpack-style bags are excellent for travel or other occasions where you’re doing a lot of walking. I give them extra points for using clasping zippers to help you avoid losing any of your things in transit. The dance bag is a medium-sized handbag, or a smaller backpack, which has plenty of room for things like your lunch or your gym clothes and shoes.
I like pairing dark, rich colors with this bag since it draws out the contrast between the bright white and the deep colors. In the summer, I’d pair it with brights, too.
The white mesh material holds its shape a little bit more than its blue mesh counterpart. It’s very close to a true white, perhaps with a slight creamy undertone, but only barely. The bag is accented with gorgeous gold contrast hardware for a luxe touch.
Besides the main compartment, the two outer pockets are fully functional, not just decorative, and can hold small items. There’s a zip mesh pocket on the inside, and a padded compartment on the outside that sits against your back for things like documents or smaller tablets.
Note that although the bag is mostly white, there are a few sections of black, such as the bottom panel and the straps. Since these are particularly high-wear areas, the black panels will help keep the bag looking clean for longer. On a similar note, the top carry handle and zipper pulls are patent leather, which will be easy to wipe off later.
Overall, I love this bag as much as I hoped I would. It has a totally different look compared to my other two Caraa bags and fits perfectly into my array of sports-luxe accessories. Now let’s just hope I can keep it looking this pristine for a long time.
