Better together pants. Not a fan of the fit in the second set of pics. [Lululemon Suburban Square]
Power date blazer, quick change vest, and twice as nice skirt. I have a feeling one or both of the next uploads will be &go themed, including these 3 things, the rise and shine trousers, and the better together pants. I pretty much dislike all of it. [Lululemon Kelowna]
More power date blazer and twice as nice skirt. [Lululemon Saskatoon]
Giant herringbone high times pants. [Lululemon Crescent Court]
New black/parallel stripe think fast hoodie and a new think fast 1/2 zip. [Lululemon Grand Ave]
Ultra violet 105F singlet–the pants might be new? [Lululemon Grand Ave]
Inspire tights (I think). [Lululemon Suburban Square]
Black/dottie dream rose wild tank. [Lululemon Suburban Square]
Bead envy rise and shine trouser pants. [Lululemon Trolley Square]

The items in this post aren’t helping! ;)

If it wasn’t that same article, I’ve seen one like it. I don’t put a lot of stock in those opinions (see what I did there, stock?! oh dear). Lulu has had a meteoric rise to success, and yes they’ve experienced some huge setbacks, but overall they’re still very much alive and kicking and I’d be shocked if they closed their doors THAT quickly. I think they have enough market share and success to work with right now (even after their stock has tanked) that unless they’re really, REALLY stupid and their board of directors is useless, they’ll be able to at least survive, even if they don’t thrive as much as they used to.

But yeah these kinds of shenanigans have got to stop so they can focus on their core product…

Exactly.
I would love it if they went back to the basics ( high quality tops, bottoms, and bags in great designs). Instead, we get weird swim blouses, expensive sweatshirts, and beads. No thanks.

On a dumber not, the twice as nice skirt is actually great for working in an office. I can adjust the rise, it doesn’t wrinkle and has no lulu bells and whistles or unflattering seams. I can throw it on over rights as I run off to class to get a little more coverage in winter or stash it in my bag in the morning reasonably confident it won’t look like I’m living out of my purse/desk when I put it on.
I can wear it with pretty much everything, pre-work Soul Cycle to work to post-office dinner or drinks. Got the neutral blush which is V subtle and hardly pink at all which flips to SIS (something silver…?). Perfect use of this fabric which is just stretchy enough and has a nice finish/won’t collect dog hair. Hope they’ll make another neutral or subtle print {sans beads if you please}.
For a New Yorker, a versatile (somewhat nondescript) and comfy item like this is golden. T by Alexander Wang would charge $400 for a similar design. Now if only Lulu would up their t-shirt, camisole, and basic knits game. Classic cuts in technical fabrics (or just Luon)? I feel they’re trying to do that but the cuts are killing the designs.
Ramble off.

Yeah, I can definitely see how the skirt would be useful. The length looks awkward and boxy in the stock pics, but it seems simple enough to hem which would presumably take care of that. Heels would also help instead of the awkward loafers or sneakers the models often wear. No wrinkles is a great plus especially if it gets toted around in a bag. Ain’t nobody got time for ironing anyway. I agree that they ruin a lot of the basic designs by trying to make them not-so-basic. A nice idea when it works, but when it doesn’t, it REALLY falls flat. Also, SIS is silver spoon fyi. :)
