My fellow spandex lovers: our time has come. Our love of athleisure and activewear has finally paid off. Tokyo 2020 may not be happening this year, but quarantine is the fashion Olympics that I’ve been training for.
I’ve now finished out my third week of working from home, and…well, looks like I’m gonna be here a while. When I’m working from home, I want to feel comfortable, yes, but I also want to feel put together. My old, beat-up sweats can be comforting to wear sometimes, but they don’t exactly make me feel polished and productive. Thankfully, there are plenty of options that feel cozy, but look stylish enough for video calls.
Here are some styles that are in my heavy rotation, plus some extras that caught my eye.
1 | Alala rise dolman hoodie | This medium-weight hoodie is a staple layer in my closet. The fabric is so soft, and the design is flattering and stylish. It’s not as bulky as other hoodies, so I can layer a cardigan or a coat over it when I need extra warmth. Full review here that includes other Alala sweatshirts, many of which are on sale!
2 | Sweaty Betty garudasana luxe fleece pants | I have a pair of almost identical Sweaty Betty fleece pants that I’m wearing as I type this post. The fabric is so soft, and it’s endured 4 years of wearing and washing but still looks like new. The fabric is more of a flat fleece, not fluffy like sherpa or Polartec. The days are still chilly where I live, so I frequently layer these pants over a pair of leggings. Yes, these sweats are pricey, but the quality and durability are really excellent.
3 | Athleta pranayama wrap | This is a lightweight wrap that will carry through nicely for spring and summer. I have it in dogwood mauve, which is a really beautiful shade. I love the drape of this wrap. Layer it over a tee for an outfit that takes zero effort but still feels put together.
4 | Lululemon wunder under pants | Wunder unders are a staple for good reason. While I prefer luxtreme for working out, I prefer luon for around the house. One of my favorite pairs is luon variegated knit, which is thicker and warmer than the solid colors. Full review of the variegated knits here.
5 | Electric & Rose westside zip up hoodie | This jacket takes the playfulness of tie dye and renders it in a modern, grown-up monotone. If you like the pattern but don’t like the style but you like the tie dye, try this muscle tank in the same print instead.
6 | Vuori performance joggers | Joggers are an essential part of any comfy closet. Vuori claims to have some of the softest out there, plus they offer their design in plenty of colors at a reasonable price point. I’m thinking about ordering a pair so I can add a little more variety to my sweats rotation.
7 | Jenni Kayne everyday sweater | I’ve been gazing longingly at Jenni Kayne’s sweater collection for months. Her styles are simple but elegant, perfect for pairing with leggings at home, or with something nicer when you get to go out again. My other favorites are the cashmere fisherman sweater and sweater coat.
8 | Lululemon free to be serene bra | Friends, uncomfortable bras are officially canceled. This style is one of my most worn at home, and is comfy enough that I don’t even notice I’m wearing it. Bonus: I can leave it on if I end up doing some yoga, stretching, or core work. Full review here.
I hope all of you and your loved ones are staying well and staying sane!

Oooh, good to know when I inevitably buy more things from them! Enjoy your joggers! I haven’t taken mine off since they arrived thanks to the new Coronavirus work-from-home situation.
