Another SeaWheeze 2014 Preview: Shorts and Tanks

August 15, 2014 / 7 Comments

lululemon-seawheeze-2014-preview-shorts-tank

More sneak peeks from SeaWheeze via an email to participants. (I am not going myself, but a friend tipped me off!) Click through the pic if you want to look a little closer.

The color palette this year looks like it incorporates more pastel-y shades than previous years.  I’m not sure what the colors are: inkwell, vintage pink, and menthol?  The blue looks kind of in between spry and angel blue.

So we’ll be seeing:
– Franken-racerback: b/w striped and pink
– Watercolor printed trackers (the previous previews looked like this print is coming on a singlet also)
– Franken-speeds, inkwell and menthol(?!)
– Polka dot blue lightened up singlet
– Bound bra again, looks like the same stripes as the CRB

Good Lord, that’s some serious fug going on. Were the designers high when they came up with these items?! Did they throw a bunch of fabric together and say “yup, this will be our SeaWheeze gear!”

Drugs would certainly explain a lot of things of late…

I like the shorts, the colors and the patterns. Different, ya’ know.
I guess it’s to associate these shorts and tops with Seawheeze instead of the mundane color palette in the same color.
Kudos to Lululemon for once again thinking outside the box.

Yeah, I’m not as vehemently opposed as some. A few things I think are awful, and a few things have potential/are cute. I guess that’s how it typically is with me, though, on the whole. The franken-stuff in particular has always been a little weird to me.

LOL I love your candid comments! Franken indeed! They do “feel” a bit Ivivva to me, like different colors for each side of the speed shorts, so am not particularly tempted. What I do love wearing this summer so far – Teeki pants! and Splits 59 ginger crops in Eco.

Totally meant to say to this that I really want to try teeki pants. I keep eyeballing the sacred feather bells which are TOTALLY unlike anything I’ve ever worn and I would have to chop off like 5″, but…….I don’t know, they’re calling to me somehow: http://teeki.com/product/sacred-feather-bell-bottom/ Bugs me that teeki doesn’t do refunds on returns though. :(

You need to try them : ) The fabric feels more plasticky at first, but softens up after a few washes. I wear the hot pants to hike, paddle boat and for yoga and going out. I buy some of my teekis from without walls, which has 30-days return policy, I think. The teeki hot pants are not extremely long, in fact, there’s minimal bunching on me and I’m 5″1. Have not tried out their bells but they look so comfy too!
