Upload 9/2: Color Hints and Some Weird Stuff

September 2, 2014 / 11 Comments

There was no real cohesion behind tonight’s upload–mostly a bunch of random products in random colors.  Some surprises, some really weird stuff, and some interesting new stuff:

This inky floral french terry vinyasa was a surprise.  I’m in love with the inky floral print, and this is so gorgeous and I’m having to talk myself out of ordering it.  The reality is that I think it would be difficult to match and I wouldn’t get a lot of wear out of it.  Note that the french terry vinyasas are $10 more than the regular ones–$58 instead of $48.

Weird side note: I had a dream about vinyasas.  For real.  I dreamed I was looking at upload and there was a blue/grey chevron vinyasa and a black/white houndstooth vinyasa.  Wtf, brain?  At least that’s a more pleasant dream than, like, running from a dude with a knife or being shot at or something, amirite?

The bhakti yoga jacket, which was very popular in January, reappeared in bordeaux and black.  Canada got zonked out of this one this week–US only.

Fluffin’ awesome vest in fuel green, black, and bordeaux gin gingham were uploaded.  Canada also got the fluffin’ awesome jacket in black gin gingham, solid black, and bordeaux.  Both of these are online only.

Herringbone pants!  US and Canada both got these.  Oh herringbone. <3

LW3F74S_014445_1

This oh hey pullover (in Canada only) is a steaming pile of “WTF no thanks”.

LW9E64S_015242_1

Speaking of WTF????  This is called a dickie.  Is this a thing?  It’s like a down bib.  Dude, why not just get a vest.  This weirdness is only available in the US right now.

LW3F14S_015639_2

Real teal swiftly LS.  It’s just heathered, no tonka stripes. <3 this color.  I SO wish this was a scoopneck.

Another new color is almost pear.  I really don’t like this color–it looks dingy and vaguely like baby food or some unfortunate bodily fluid.  This energy bra and a power y in the same color appeared in Canada only.

This tank is the one on the current product banner for the tanks section (it’s the refresh racer).  The stripes color is toothpaste.  The color was out a while ago, perhaps it’s making a comeback alongside real teal, purple fog, and mauvelous.

LW9D89S_016021_2

Speaking of purple fog, this is the heart opener scarf in purple fog/heathered dark grey.  I think this is the same scarf from the “headwear and scarves” product banner:

Here’s another thing I have to say about that product banner:

I think this water bottle is the same red color as that hat.  The color is called flaming tomato.  I’d be wondering if a true red like currant was coming back, so it looks like this might be our answer.

LW9D96S_016109_1

I’m usually a big fan of leg warmers, but these endless summer ankle warmers (merino wool) are a no-go for me.  They look like very awkward socks.

LW9E84S_1966_9

The two times a yogi bag mentioned in Britt’s picks is probably this one: it’s black, but it’s made of a wool blend exterior.

Also on upload: bumble berry CRB (US), hyperstripe mauvelous CRB, mini camp check scuba hoodie, om and roam untight tight, purple fog swiftly racerback, a few new WUP colorways and variations that I don’t have the patience to painstakingly type out, illumina crops (Canada), bumble berry pace tights (Canada), sashico star run times shorts, heathered slate speed shorts (US), traveling yogini rucksack in all 3 colors (US), purple fog dance studio jacket.

Edited to add:

Looks like some kind of new jacket-sweater situation going on in these pics.

LOL! I said to myself, “Oh, I must order the dickie!” when I saw the upload. It is a thing but something my elderly great aunts would wear. I love golds, but not liking this new yellow. I hope one of my local stores gets the rucksacks ths week because I’d love to use it on vacation, and it won’t get to me in time if I order online. One last thing–the model looks super adorable in that first photo. I also love that scarf.

I was just thinking of asking if you ended up getting the rucksack. I think some US stores have been getting them in so you might have some luck! If/when you do get it I want to hear about it!

Ordered the herringbone WUP and BB CRB. And I sometimes have lulu dreams too. Idk if it’s a good or a bad thing LOL.

I try not to think too much about dream analysis because, lulu aside, I’m pretty sure the conclusions would NOT be good, lol. And +1 for herringbone WUP! Good choice. :)

I only got the toothpaste refresh racer tonight. I wanted the inky floral WUPs but I’d rather have the crops and $102 lulu? WTF. I was thinking about the inkwell Inspires but I have last year’s and never wear them. They just look so nice on the model.

Yeah I figured there would be a fuss over the $102 price tag. I wasn’t tempted by those since I haaaate high/low. I agree the inspires look nice on the model, but still a little ho-hum.

I was tempted by like 5 things tonight but I stood strong. :P I was eyeballing the mini camp check scuba (why? I don’t even know), herringbone WUP (again, why, I already have some in a different color), real teal swiftly LS, inky vinyasa, and inky rucksack. $0 were spent. I committed lulu adultery this week and bought some other stuff so I gotta keep a lid on the spending thing.

Good for you lol. A year ago I would have literally bought everything, but I’m doing much better these days. Ha! :D

If that vinyasa was rulu I would have bought it but I dislike french terry vinyasas. It feels like wrapping a bath towel around your neck.

I ended up purchasing the flat inky floral WUPs but leaning towards returning them because $102 + tax for WUPs is crazytown. I also got the blossom stripe refresh racer just to see if I like the fit better than a CRB.

Oh, that makes me feel a bit better about passing on the vinyasa–thanks for the reassurance. ;) If I want a non-technical fabric in a pretty print, there are lots of scarves out there that would do the trick…

I wanted (and had made up my mind) I would buy the BB CRB and guess what? It’s not been uploaded in Canada, I guess somewhere else will get my ‘not really disposable income’ this week.

There’s always next week! Canada did kinda get the shaft this week with quite a few things. But, the US has been in that boat a few times, so perhaps it’s evening things out a bit. :)
