I’ve been working from home for 8 months now, and like most people, I’ve been maximizing the comfy factor. Near the beginning of the pandemic, I bought my first pair of Vuori joggers to see what all the fuss was about. I now have 3 pairs, so you can probably already see where this is going. Here are my detailed thoughts.
I initially bought 2 pairs of joggers in XS in grey and cerise, but a couple of months, Vuori added size XXS to their offerings, which is generally my preferred size. So, I bought a third pair in black camo to try the XXS. Having tried both sizes, I prefer the smaller size (aka my true size), since it looks a little more polished while not sacrificing comfort. The XXS is slightly more fitted at the hips but not at all tight. There’s plenty of room to spare through the leg. I still wear my size XS pairs plenty anyway, but they do look a little more like pajamas.
With that in mind, you can easily go up or down a size depending on your desired look and feel. If in doubt, I recommend going with your usual size.
The joggers feature a functional drawstring and simple pockets on either side. The pockets are large enough for my phone and don’t bunch up awkwardly. I am 5’3″, and the regular inseam length hits at my ankles. I wouldn’t mind if they were an inch or so shorter, but overall they’re petite-friendly. If you’re on the taller side, Vuori now offers a long inseam option in some colors. The regular version inseam is 25″ and the long is 27.5″.
Besides working from home, I lived in these during a week-long camping trip in southwestern Colorado this summer. I literally slept in them. That trip was the inspiration for this outfit: I wore almost this exact outfit most days around camp. Despite being basically sweatpants, they’re cute enough to wear out for errands. Technically, these are made of performance fabric, but I don’t usually wear loose pants for my workouts. If I were to exercise in these, it would probably be hiking, strength work, or yoga.
The fabric is, as advertised, CRAZY soft. These joggers really do live up to its claims of being outrageously comfortable. The fabric is medium weight and smooth but still soft and cushy. The closest comparison is Alala’s heathered performance material or a lightweight version of lululemon’s rulu. On my oldest pair, I’ve noticed some slight sueding on the bum. It’s not full-on pilling and is not visible to the eye, so it doesn’t make them look old and grubby. But if you run your hand across the area, you can feel the difference in texture. That said, I’ve worn them a lot–probably once a week for 7 or 8 months–so I’m not surprised that the fabric is starting to wear slightly.
At $84, the price point is very reasonable for a high-end athleisure product. It’s a little lower than comparable styles from lululemon and Athleta. Plus, if you sign up for Vuori’s emails, you can snag 20% off your first order, dropping the price to $67.20. You can get Vuori joggers straight from the Vuori website, or they are also stocked at Nordstrom and REI.

How do these compare to lululemon? Especially the align jogger?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I haven’t tried lululemon’s current lineup of joggers. I probably will be heading to the store sometime in the next few days, so I will circle back on this comment if I get a minute to try on the aligns–I’m guessing the aligns would be the most closely comparable to these.

I lived in the Lululemon Align joggers in April. So soft! But the thighs pilled. I might consider these. Thanks!

Yaaaas! These are my new favorite pants. I had one pair when Covid hit, but after living in them during WFH, it made me sad when wash day came and I had to wear another pair of sweats while I washed these, so logically I had to pick up another pair. LOVE THEM. I do find mine pill at the inner thighs, but I just run a sweater shaver over them and they’re like new again!

Good to know! Mine haven’t pilled to the point of needing shaving yet, but I’ll keep that in mind if they do.

So glad you reviewed these. I just visited our local Vuori store and was hoping they were having some form of black friday sale. But nope, everything was full price. So I’m glad to hear about the online email signup discount. I ended up not trying on anything, but definitely liked the super soft fabric (very similar to Aligns). I liked the offset pockets, which are similar to Lulu Align pockets (unlike Athleta’s Salutation jogger, which has on-seam pockets that make hips look wide). My friend tried on a long sleeve top (also crazy soft) and it seemed to run a tad small.

Yeah, I was surprised they didn’t run any Black Friday promos. That said, I just got a 20% off coupon in the mail, so maybe you’ll get one too! I bought a Vuori tank and it ran a bit loose, but it was intended to be a relaxed fit, and that’s the only top I’ve personally tried. Thanks for sharing your extra input. :)

I have a pair of gray camo. I have gently worn only 4 times. They are pilling like crazy on the inside. Has anyone had this happen? I have only washed once (not inside out). If you run your hand across the outside of the fabric all you feel are bumps from the inside pilling.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Oh no! That’s so odd. Out of my three pairs, I’ve never had that happen, even after lots of washes. Seems like maybe a faulty batch. :\

Yes I have the same issue with the pillling on the inside.

This is Kim again. I contacted Vuori about the pilling issue and sent pictures. They were super nice and gave me a gift card towards the purchase of a new pair. I loved the softness and fit so I used the gift card and this time bought a pair of black joggers. I thought maybe I did just get a bad batch. NOPE – after just wearing a couple of times and not yet washing them, the pilling started again on the inside. These also have the stitching coming undone on the side. I have been so careful with these joggers too as they are so expensive. I just don’t think the quality is there.
