There haven’t been many new brands entering the activewear space lately, so these new sweatflow leggings from EVER piqued my interest. They’re advertised to last for 3-5 wears with no stink before needing to be washed, thanks to the anti-bacterial properties of silver fibers in fabric. The idea is that this technology helps conserve water. Their brand cares a lot about water in general, because in addition to promoting water conservation, they also pledge 20% of their profits to a clean water charity. At $76, they’re also a little bit less expensive than many other brands in the space, plus they have a 30-day guarantee even if they’ve been worn, so I figured I had nothing to lose by trying!
I first took these out on a 13-mile hike up Summerland Trail in Mt. Rainier National Park. Since a lot of EVER’s marketing around these leggings is outdoors-focused, it seemed like the perfect test! I took more detailed shots at home to better show the fit and features. Since then, I’ve also taken them out on a couple mellow bike rides–the stretchy fabric and high, comfortable waistband is great on a bike.
When I first put these on, they absolutely lived up to their claim of being incredibly comfortable. The fabric is incredibly stretchy and not constricting at all. I purchased a size 0 based on the size chart and they fit well. For reference, I wear a size 2 in lululemon and a size XXS/XS in other brands. I love brands that offer more than just the standard XS-L since more sizes often means a better fit. EVER offers 8 sizes, 0-14. If you are between sizes, I recommend going with your smaller size. The fit is smooth and flattering but not really compressive.
Besides being stretchy, the fabric has a slick yet soft feel. It’s not as slick as lululemon’s luxtreme, but not quite as plush as nulu. The overall appearance is not shiny, but just shy of completely matte. The fabric is fairly light, which was great for my hike since I found it to be very breathable. It also means panty lines can be a problem with non-seamless undergarments. That said, it does well in terms of coverage. In a full squat, I can only make out the faintest sign of what I’m wearing underneath.
They are exactly full length on me (I am 5’3″), about the same length as my other 7/8 leggings. The hem is actually raw with no seam around the ankle, so it’s possible you could simply cut them shorter if you like, but I have no plans to try. The lack of a seam also makes these extra easy to get on and off since there’s no seam to constrict stretch at the ankle.
Speaking of seams, there is one arc seam along the back that falls right across the bum. Keep in mind that if you wear no or low-coverage undergarments, you might feel the seam.
The rise is quite high, about up to my belly button. The waistband is one piece with no top seam (similar to lululemon’s align or high rise wunder under waistbands), which I like a lot for comfort.
Another great feature is the large side thigh pockets. The pockets are large enough for my iPhone 7 to fit fully inside for a quick-draw for photos out on my hike. Easy access to snacks on my hike was a plus, too. :)
One downside of the fabric is that it is prone to abrasions. On my hike, I scrambled over some boulders at the top. After the hike, I noticed a couple spots where the fabric is now a bit fuzzy from rubbing against the rocks. So, if you want to keep these looking new and pristine, I recommend being cautious around rough surfaces.
Overall, I’d recommend these for lower impact activities like hiking, yoga, strength training, and studio workouts. The sweatflow leggings are the only style available from EVER right now (and black is the only color), but I’ll be keeping my eye out for new additions.

I’m glad to see you covering some new brands. I love these types of reviews & checking out brands or styles I haven’t tried myself.
Thank you!

I’m glad! It seems like it’s gotten harder than it used to be to find interesting brands to highlight that are appealing in terms of both style *and* function, but I’m trying to keep that radar up. :)

After reading your review when you first published it, I purchased a pair to try and have to say I reach for these tights a lot. I have worn them running multiple times and cycling. I live in Dallas where we barely have a fall and we don’t get too cold during the winter. These are a solid all purpose tight.

Awesome! I’m so glad they’ve worked so well for you! I agree, they’re incredibly versatile, which is a big part of why I like them.

Do you think these would work as a fall base layer with a another light hiking pant on top?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
They’re pretty lightweight so you won’t get a lot of insulation out of them, but that also means they’re fairly low-profile (besides the side pocket) which is good. The waistband is also very nice for layering underneath other pants. So, if you’re looking for a light base layer I think they would work. If you want a more insulating base layer, I would look for something made of a thicker weave or merino/thermal fabric.

I’ve been eyeing Ever brand for a while now, but they’re currently back ordered. What would you recommend for high impact trail leggings? I’ve been having trouble finding a good, warm pair to wear backpacking for my multi-day trips. It’s hard finding leggings that can be both cool enough for intense hikes and warm enough for freezing summit temps.
