In recent years, I’ve started to become a bit of a crazy flower lady, and that inclination has been sneaking its way into my activewear collection. A well-executed floral print is hard to resist!
I waffled a lot on which print to go with out of Werkshop’s Romance capsule, but out of the 3 choices, I ended up settling on Juliet. I liked that Juliet had the most variety in terms of the flowers and colors used on the print. It’s gorgeous in real life. Leslie of Petite Impact did a review of the Vintage crops if that print is more your speed.
As usual, Werkshop’s fabric delivers on quality. These are fully opaque and the print doesn’t fade when stretched.
Juliet fits the same as my other Werkshop crops. Mine are XS, my usual size. If you’re new to Werkshop, note that they run a bit small, so size up if you are in between sizes or if you don’t want a compressive fit. In my opinion, the XS fits similar to lululemon’s size 2 bottoms. They’re tight fresh out of the package but conform to your body after you’ve worn them a few times, but they never bag out.
I wear my Werkshops to just about anything. They’re stretchy enough to be comfortable for yoga, but compressive enough for a run. I wore almost this exact outfit (except for a different pair of shoes, which didn’t match at all, hah) for a 5.5 mile trail run last weekend and they were perfect. I’ve recently discovered they’re a bit slippery for my aerial silks class, but that’s pretty much the only thing I’ve found where they don’t quite work. Since the print doesn’t really scream “fitness clothes”, you can even get away with wearing these with a dress and tall boots.
The print is a mixture of both dark and delicate feminine colors: mostly purples and pinks with a couple flecks of green. Overall, it’s a bit more purple-toned in real life than it appears on Werkshop’s website. I like to wear these crops with dark tops best; they pair beautifully with dark shades of pink, purple, and blue.
Welcome to my Werkshop family, Juliet! ;)
P.S. If you’re a Werkshop fan, I hope you didn’t miss this preview of the Enchanted Forest collection coming soon!

You sold me! I love Workshop, and when you said the print was darker on the website, that was the deciding factor. If you check out the Juliet tank, there is a detail of the print that may be truer to what it looks like in real life.

Hooray! :) I hope you love them! I agree that the detail photo of the tank is closer to what the crops look like IRL.

Ahhh yes, I can’t wait to see the rest of Enchanted Forest too!

I have the Juliet crops too and I love them. I like to pair them with dark gray tops. :)
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Ohhhh yes, that would look really pretty! Not as harsh as black but still nice and neutral. :)

I also have Juliet. I had sizing issues AGAIN – had to reorder the same size cause the first one was huge…. why is it just me with the inconsistent sizing?! The second one I just received last week fits perfect – worth the hassle :)
I am loving dark castle in the enchanted forest preview… and also excited to see the spitfire and unicorn (UNICORN!) prints.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Oh, boo. Bummer about the hassle but at least it had a happy ending. :)
Sooooo curious to see the unicorn print. I’m not as unicorn-crazy as a lot of ladies, but…I’ll still have to see what it looks like. ;)

These look beautiful on you. I have been contemplating this style but I think I will hold out for the unicorn! I received the werkshop butterfly tank and I really like it. Nice for hot summer days, the material quality soft and flexible. Like swiftly material the is more durable and little lighter. I would like to get the tank in the floral night pattern or the love birds next. The tanks Look great with hotty hot shorts! Great outfit for play with squirt guns and sprinkler time with my boys. The outfit drys super fast and it is comfortable.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yes I’m SOOO curious to see what the unicorn print looks like! And I’m hoping for some more tank prints soon too. :)

I, too, LOVE how that print doesn’t scream “activewear” all over it. They could double as a really cute dressy-casual outfit soooo easily(!) with, say: a white cable knit sweater, ballet flats (and my fave D&B satchel bag). I’m finding I PURPOSELY now look for better quality fitness clothing in neutral patterns or colors more and more, which I can mix-and-match with “normal clothes” (so that it doesn’t look like I just crawled out of bed, LOL!). Having a bottom-heavy/pear-shaped frame, either dark or print leggings are my default go-to for: trying to camo any rolls and, just wanting to feel comfy and confident; thinking my curves look like curves instead of like a blob. I always try to imagine how a stretch pant would go with a blazer, sweater, etc. so that I can get mileage from them outside the gym.
