First up: the most exciting development of my week: the stuff your bra from lululemon is back!!! This sports bra is one of my favorites. I’m hoping they come out with some more fabulous colors in the coming weeks, since I already have one that’s (partially) flash light, and black and white aren’t calling my name.
Lululemon also made not one but TWO pairs of white pants in the past couple of weeks. Both the foli manifesto wunder under crops (first pic) and the free spirit pants (second pic) sold like hot cakes. As you might expect, reports came pouring in that both pair are painfully sheer. So, if you run across a pair, keep the expectations down low.
By the way, if you want a pair of white crops, I recommend the Koral gauge capris. They’re not sheer at all (full review here). They’re from last year, but I found a few stragglers still in stock via Swell, Lala Look, and Vickerey.
I am in love with this new snake print from Michi, found via Carbon38 SWOON. Unfortunately, Michi runs a bit too big for me, so I’ll just have to admire them from a distance. They served up the stardust leggings in black python and medusa crops in blue python. (P.S. The black python leggings are a little cheaper via Bandier.)
Also a fan of this new Gemma print from Running Bare (also on Carbon38). I’ve never tried this brand before, but have been curious about it.
One more from Carbon38: they released another collaboration with Goldsheep this week to line up with the Met Ball theme. Meet the tessellation legging. (P.S. If you wanna know how these fit, I have a review of the same leggings in a different print here.)
Speaking of which, looks like that sort of print might be trending this season. Here’s a similar pattern from lululemon.
One more thing: love Werkshop? Well, now the men in your life can get in on the action, too. Well, almost. Werkshop launched a Kickstarter campaign for a new men’s performance short line. I put in a pledge for my honey. Go help get it funded!
this post is basically a summary of my week!
i ordered those michi tights immediately (i had spotted them in some bra pics awhile back and was waiting with my finger on the trigger for when they finally appeared)… tip for anyone interested: bandier has the incorrect price listed for them right now ($136 instead of $160 on all other sites). jump on them before they notice!! ee ee ee!! mine arrived yesterday and they are indeed swoon-worthy. i bought the matching antigravity bra weeks ago when it first came out and now i feel like a super chic python seductress :)
i also am swooning over those new running bares. i actually bought their black leggings with the different perforated and mesh panels a couple months ago when they came out. i love them and they are very high quality and not sheer and reasonably priced. the M is a very nice fit on me (I’m between S and M), so they might work for you, Suzanne, if you ever want to try them.
those gold sheep ones are on my list too (in my “i wish i could have this” spreadsheet) AND i ordered a run stuff your bra (and a rat pack bra for comparison) for the first time to try. i have never tried either but i keep buying awesome leggings like werkshop that are great for running but have no place to put a phone so finally i decided i need to get a phone-holding bra :)
anyways, yeah…. there’s three paragraphs for ya! :)
i dunno why i said the running bares are “reasonably priced” – they’re actually totally expensive (i forgot that i had used a coupon code to get them!)

Ohh nice spotting the Michi price difference. ;) They’re out of XS on Bandier, otherwise I might be tempted to try anyway. I’m curious if the prints will run differently than their other fabrics or not. Also, thanks for the Running Bare tip! I have a lot of dark florals right now so I’m trying to resist…
I was so sad when the foli manifesto sold out by the time I was able to check the upload. But I remembered I still had my white Koral gauge capris and finally decided to take the tags off. Love them! Thick and fully opaque. The Small is about a half size too big, but I don’t mind since mine haven’t stretched out at all and I’ve worn them three times now w/o washing.
I actually ordered 2 crops from Werkshop just yesterday (dragon and butterfly print) and am waiting anxiously for them to arrive at my doorstep. I also contacted the owner about the blanket on Kickstarter and she responded promptly. For those wondering, it is 100% polyester (it had to be in order to be printable), great for lounging, and possibly/probably suitable for the beach. I put my pledge in for one! Really hoping their project gets backed. I watched the video and loved the story behind the brand and the campaign.
Yesss!!! I’m so glad I have my gauge capris. I love the white look and love not having to worry about my underthings. :) Mine have held up well, besides the inevitable dirt.
Thanks for the info on the blanket! I hope you love the crops you got. :) I already put in a pledge for a pair of shorts (for my bf) but am wondering whether there would be a good spot in my house for the blanket…
I’m Aussie so I have some Running Bare tights. It looks like they sell a very limited size range overseas – in Aus they go from size 8 (XS on the US site) to size 22. I think 8 in Running Bare fits similar to 4 in Lululemon and XS in Lorna Jane.
RB are often a bit cheaper than Lulu and LJ in Australia, especially for capri tights and sports bras. Their full length tights fit shorter people really well. They’re much thinner than LJ tights and a bit thinner than Lulu’s running tights, so they are good for running in cool-but-not-properly-cold temperatures (we are Australian, we don’t do real cold!) I used them for a full winter of running in one of the coldest parts of Aus and they were great, but this year I’m considering getting a pair of warmer Lulu tights as well.
Thanks for the RB info! Carbon38’s prices are usually pretty comparable to the cost from overseas, but for some reason the RB prices are higher than the exchange + shipping. Maybe their wholesale price isn’t as good.
Love their bras. :) the padding is thick like LJ . they have limited “range” in terms of the bra design but the one that fits best for me is the one that resembles the flow Ys of lulu. pity that carbon38 sells it at a higher price than if u were to buy from the website. Ya perhaps their wholesale price isnt too good or carbon38 is not buying in “bulk”. I love RB’s prints and florals! and they have lasted me through xfit and runs.

True, but some men don’t want to wear leggings, not to mention that the sizing is limited. I know my bf would never wear their leggings no matter how good they are, lol.
I would love the Koral Gauge leggings like yours but I can’t find an XS anywhere! So sad. I may finally pull the trigger on those Koral Lustrous leggings, though.

The Lulu white pants aren’t sheer for me and I’m super picky about that. They aren’t Koral Gauge Capri opaque (I own those too), but they are pretty good coverage. They have a sewn in panel over that area that is a bit awkward and has received so many bad reviews but I don’t think the panels look bad because the side seams follow the panel and it looks purposeful, not weird like some are saying. I bought the Beyond Boundaries crops, plus the Free Spirit ones both in white. I love the crops because I absolutely love the Beyond Boundaries “line” they made and I own a few pairs from their earlier 2015 collection. Very compressive. The Free Spirit ones are high rise which I love because they remind me of High Times. The foil Manifesto ones I own as well and they are white/ivory and admittedly they are a tiny bit sheer but not with nude Zohba undershorts. I plan to wear those as casual wear rather than to the gym. If you have a chance to get to white Beyond Boundaries or Free Spirit, get them…give them a shot and see what you think. With the right tank or shirt they are gorgeous and have this summery laser cut material pattern on them that is so unique and dressy. I love them and they are keepers for me. Again I’m super picky about this stuff… They are white, you have to cut them some slack but they aren’t extremely hot and thick like Alo’s white ones are, and they are perfectly summery and cover the rear with twice the fabric.
Huh, you’re the first person I’ve heard who’s said they weren’t sheer! I hadn’t noticed they’d released the beyond boundaries crops in white, too. I like those better than the free spirit pants. I really do love the look of white. Thanks for the info. :)
Unfortunately the Running Bare tights are completely sheer. The print is white backed and you can see your hand through them even without any stretch on the fabric. Such a shame coz I love the design and print. They are currently on sale for a very reasonable price here in New Zealand but with that amount of sheerness I’d need tho be paid to wear them!
