Hey friends, happy Easter weekend! I have a 3-day weekend and I’m pretty stoked about it. I’m heading down to do some shopping with my day off today and will be reporting back soon!! :)
Here’s what’s new in the fitness fashion world lately:
Lululemon is picking up the pace lately with pretty colors and interesting styles. These cyber jungle hero inspire tights (only available in Canada for the moment) are a fun change of pace.
On that note, I’m curious what else we’re going to see in this new color, jungle (on reversible WUC here). It’s nice to see some pretty greens popping up, since lulu is usually quite stingy with greens. P.S. Another color I’m excited to see coming back: deep zinfandel!
For the first time ever, you can now get a true black swiftly in both short and long sleeve lengths. They’re already quite popular and are selling quickly. The other most popular item this week is also in this photo: the rio nights speed shorts. They are completely sold out online, so you’ll have to hit up a store if you want to get your hands on these. I’m hoping the store I’m going to today will still have a few pairs for me to choose from. [Photo via Lululemon Arlington store]
This catsuit, one the other hand, is definitely not getting the rave reviews of the other styles in this post. :) You’ve gotta have a special kind of boldness to pull this one off.
Sweaty Betty recently released a new yoga retreat capsule. My favorite style from the drop is these navasana capris. The pattern reminds me a bit of lululemon’s pigment wave and pigment wind, except I really like SB’s purple and teal take on it. I also like the back seaming details, and SB’s yoga fabric is to die for. I ordered these–will report back!!
I’m also oddly fond of these haven retreat flare pants in this bold print, but being a shortie, flares are generally a no go.
Sweaty Betty is doing a friends and family 20% off event right now!! Use code SBFAMILY. The code is only valid until the 28th, so you’ll have to make some decisions quickly!
Lorna Jane released a handful of items in spots, like these spot me 7/8 tights. I actually kind of like the black base with plain white spots. I’ll be heading to the LJ store to see if I can try these on today, along with the matching bra.
Bandier dropped a new (exclusive) collaboration with fitness superstars Karena and Katrina of Tone It Up. There are only a handful of styles, but they’re pretty cute and fairly reasonably priced as far as high-end stuff goes. The collection is already selling through fast!
Also from Bandier, I’m liking these new vigor capris from Vimmia.
Btw, Bandier also has a sale going on right now, featuring Alo, Vimmia, Koral, Splits59, Alala, and lots more. The Nesh cashmere sweater I’ve featured here is marked down, however as of this writing, only size L is left.
Alala dropped another dose of their spring collection this week featuring a new new color, saltwater. It’s a just-barely-blue, as the name implies. I’m usually not big on the pastels, so thankfully I’m not as tempted by this new color as I was by their last couple of uploads.
I’m intrigued by this new style, the edge tights. Hopefully all the seaming details would still be comfortable and out of the way. I’m wondering what other colorways will pop up.
Carbon38 also uploaded some new Alala, except they got Alala’s new fiery red color, shown here on the captain crops.
C38 also got the new signature tank, which I haven’t seen anywhere else. It’s simple but potentially promising basic tank, so I’m wondering if we’re going to see some other colors in this one.
Lastly, the award for most unique new styles this week has got to go to No Ka’Oi, a new Hawaiian-inspired activewear brand now stocked at Carbon38.

I think I’m going to order those reversible Sweaty Betty crops. I’d been eyeing them and then I saw the 20% discount yesterday. Also eying the green reversible Wunder Under’s you mentioned. I guess my theme today is reversible ;)

Can’t wait to hear about the Lorna Jane. I’m really getting into a lot of their pieces. I LOVE the Isolate Printed Capris by SB. I think I may check out their store and try them on. They recently opened 2 in LA.
Lara says
I returned those Lorna Jane pants. They were very thick and unstretchy. Maybe good for casual wear, but not for exercising.
Bianca says
That sucks. I like the solid black knit tights and crops I have from LJ.

I tried on the dots yesterday. Similar to what Lara mentioned, the fabric felt uncomfortable. :( They didn’t fit super well either. Oh well. The bra was REALLY cute though!
Bianca says
Good to know. Maybe I’ll try the bra. Low support though?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah, it was low support on me. Anything with thin straps like that usually isn’t enough for me, except for lighter workouts/casual.

Loving the navasana capris. Can’t wait to read about your review on it!

I’m impatient for them to get here! They’re coming from the UK so I don’t know how long they’ll take. D:

Thank you so much for telling us about the SB sales. I didn’t pick up anything this time but tried a few items the last time you told us about a SB sale, including a playsuit and some yoga shorts. Very happy with those items!

Good, glad to hear it! :)

I surprised myself yesterday – ordered some Mac Roga shorts from Oiselle on a whim. Been aware of Oiselle for a while but this is my first time to buy – I just wasn’t getting excited about lulu’s speeds selection, and Oiselle had some pretty green shorts on sale. I purchased one in two sizes (reviews indicate their sizing system is unpredictable). Hoping I can give them a good review!
Have you had experience with Oiselle?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I haven’t bought anything from Oiselle, no. I was curious to try try the mac rogas as well, but I was told they’re quite short (shorter than speeds), which isn’t ideal for lifting. Curious to hear what you think!

My reversible Sweaty Betty leggings came in the mail today. !! Did you get yours? (I’m the East coast, ordered with the friends and family sale.) So excited to try these out.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
No, not yet. :( What do you think so far?
Sara says
So far so good. The fabric is really luxe, soft. I just want to wear them NOW. I’m at work so I walked over and showed a coworker. I think she thought the striped side was a bit loud (she made a face). She said they were definitely MY STYLE. Haha.) I think the purple will match a lot. I like them. :) Might wear them to barre or yoga this weekend.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Haha, I like it. :) I’m guessing it’ll be the same fabric as the other leggings I have, which I really like. I’m just hoping the length and fit works out.
