Carbon38 did something over the top this week. They made STAR WARS PANTS (they’re calling them the gravity legging). If my googling is correct, this is the planet Tatooine. This release is timely with this week’s movie debut. This is some next level stuff right here.
A side confession: I have never actually seen the Star Wars series (hence the googling), except bits of it here and there. I pretty much missed that boat, but I love other movie franchises, so I can appreciate the epic awesomeness of them pulling this one off.
I found these Nimble Activewear Amelia pants in a new print of theirs: dahlia. It’s very reminiscent of lululemon’s spring has sprung print, though the color palette is slightly different, and the print isn’t as sparse. I LOVE them. Nimble is an Australia-based brand, so the only place I could find these in the US was via new stockist Shop Uzima here. These might be coming soon to a blog near you…we’ll see how my willpower holds up.
Speaking of dark florals, call me crazy but I also kinda like these colorful L’Urv flower bomb leggings. I like the shorts in the same print, too, but they’re out of XS so I can’t give them a shot. Found via Bandier.

I’m reeeeal confused that around the same time, Nux also released their hydrangea print that I swear are exactly the same. Did both brands get fabric from the same source or something? Nux rio capris are via Carbon38.
One more from Bandier: pretty new electra capris by Alo Yoga. The deep purple next to the lighter color (which I think is “lavender”, not pure white) looks soooo good.

OMG! I LURVE those Nux Rio floral tights! I usually hate florals too. Lol!
I like the other floral but cannot afford $140 leggings and I cringed at paying $54 for speed shorts. No way am I able to pay $85 for running shorts. Yikes! It’s so close to Spring Has Sprung which is one of my fave pair of speed shorts too!
Yeah, might make more sense for me to stick with spring has sprung, especially considering the price. Not sure if the L’Urv ones have a liner, either–eek!
Definitely Tatooine with its two suns. I want!!!! I wonder how opaque they are…hmmmmm. They opened a Sweaty Betty in LA and I’m really loving their stuff. I got a pair of their 10k run tights which are fantastic.
Oh nice, I’d read good reviews online about the 10k tights. Too bad there aren’t any on the sale they’re running right now…
I wish you would still give an update on lululemon’s stuff. I have been following you for a long time and I like reading it mainly because of your lululemon’s updates. I think luluaddict and lulumum are great blogs, but your point of view is different…
Anyway, I’m not sure what happened that made you step away, but I will keep checking from time to time in hope for you to change your mind and continue with the older format.

So- not gonna lie- when I read “Star Wars leggings,” I instantly pictured tacky awfulness with Yodas or Darth Vaders printed over and over. But these are amazing. I ordered them within 30 minutes of your blog post going up. Fingers crossed they aren’t too sheer!!

I’ve been burnt buying white leggings beyond yoga, Kira Grace, and the Alo moto in white all too sheer to wear in public the only pair that are good are my Montiel leggings. I grew up watching Star Wars so despite the fact that I’m 40 and will have a hard pulling them off the inner geek in me just wants them
So, I didn’t buy the Tatooine leggings, but I did buy Carbon38’s other printed leggings (the polonium tights). They’re both in collaboration with Goldsheep, so I believe the fabric *should* be the same for both pairs. The poloniums are also very light in color at the top, but they aren’t sheer at all. So, maybe that bodes well!
So, I’m a little slow with my review. They are made by Goldsheep, and they are printed on white lycra. Pros: fabric feels amazing, rise is mid to high, fit is TTS. Cons: definitely sheer on me, and the print is darker than the stock photos so they are really close to nude/skin tone. I’m going to try them on again and see if I can live with the skin tone look. I feel like I’m dangerously close to a people of wal-mart picture. But I love how they feel- I may order a darker print from Goldsheep to try.

That’s so interesting that the Body Language and Nux pants are the same fabric print! I bet they did source them from the same place. I noticed my wide wale Michi storme legging pockets use the same wide wale mesh as my Alala neoprene sweatshirt from last season except oriented north south rather than east west. That was a good discovery though because they go together:).
Yeah, I would’ve thought that most brands would customize their prints, but I suppose not in this case! And yeah, I’ve noticed it’s the same mesh on Alala and Michi too! Those two brands go together very well.
