This week’s drop of new products in regions worldwide brought tons of interesting new stuff. New prints for September are out in full force, including some we’ve seen little previews of and some that are new altogether.
Coast camo is already getting a lot of interest. That’s a free to be wild bra on top, and a deep navy version of coast camo on wunder under crops (regular rise) on the bottom.
New style: sunset savasana long sleeve. This is made of merino wool. It looks relatively plain from the front, but has this split back with overlaid panels.
New rain on train on tights from Australia, with DWR coated panels for inclement weather. I didn’t notice these at first, but after a conversation with a lulu-friend I now have these on my radar.
There’s a ton of windy blooms happening, too, especially in this variation of the print. The namaskar pants are back (first pic), and there’s both a stuff your bra and free to be wild bra (straps are alarming) in this pattern too.
New pattern: wolfy tooth (like houndstooth but…more aggressive?). These are hi-rise wunder under pants.
New washi weave texture on an ultra violet go the distance jacket.
Another new go the distance jacket print: cherry cheetah. There’s also a solid sapphire blue go the distance jacket. Based on the number of colors out in this jacket so far, I’m suspicious this is their new main jacket offering (to replace the miss misty).
New ghost dot pattern on a define jacket and on speed shorts with an unusual choice of contrast trim–sapphire blue. This pattern is a bit too juvenile for me.
Speaking of speed shorts, here’s another new pair, except only half new, because the color is alarming. Lulu already made a solid pair of alarming speeds not long ago, but these have the windy blooms waistband. That said, these (and the ghost dot above) are both in Australia, so there’s always that chance they will not be dropped in North America anyway. Speed shorts season is definitely slowing down–there wasn’t anything
More shorts: sapphire blue run times with black contrast trim. These are really nice for run times lovers. They’re very similar to the harbor blue/black trim speed shorts out a few months ago. I don’t believe there was a similar pair in run times at the time.
Finally, a solid blue free to be wild bra for all you FTBW fanatics. This is sapphire blue, with sea mist and windy blooms straps. I think it would’ve been nicer with one solid color straps, but I don’t buy FTBWs so my opinion doesn’t matter much. ;)
New white/slate herringbone high times pants. These are different from last year’s white herringbone pattern–you can see the lines are much more crisp on these. The seaming contrasts a little here, but not nearly as bad as the pair last year.
Another texture: pique black dark slate wunder under crops. These look nice, but I usually find luon pique to be a bit sheer, I prefer mini check pique.
New mini check pique sapphire blue/sea mist vinyasa scarf. There were a couple of very similar blue pique vinyasas last year, but this one still looks nice. Also the way she’s wearing it totally makes it look like a graduation hood.
New gather and sprint jacket in ultra violet. The bunching at the shoulders looks really odd here.
Digi pixie caspian blue cool racerback.
Space dye twist ultra violet multi speed tights. These are kinda cool.
New kanto catch me tank and kanto catch me bra. I like to see that lulu is branching out with more high coverage, high support designs, although this one in particular isn’t calling my name. It seems like lulu is taking some cues from Japanese design this year, like they did with last year’s sashiko designs.
Also in the kanto catch me line, this new run jacket. It’s made of glyde and rulu–yessss, bring on the rulu! The glyde makes it lightly weather-resistant and the rulu keeps it warm. It has a similar angular design to the other kanto items, and also kind of reminds me of the sunset savasana pullover above. (Thanks to commenter Allie for pointing this one out–I missed it the first time around!)
Lastly, new bags: the around town backpack (coast camo) and a wine berry gym to win duffel.

I see they’re back with the Japanese theme again… washi weave texture and Kanto catch me tank. I like the new textured pants, but at the new prices, my purchases will be even fewer and far between. Meh.

Yup, I noticed the same thing. Purchases fewer and far between aren’t necessarily a bad thing for me–nothing like high prices to keep your closet size in check, haha.

Did I read somewhere that the Run Stuff Your Bra was not going to be offered in the US anymore?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I’ve heard the same rumors that there won’t be any more colors, but haven’t seen anything official myself. So, not 100% sure.
GlitterRunner says
Ah I saw what I thought were new pattern on overseas releases so I was curious. I LOVE these, and I need more!

I was never a fan of the camo before, except wamo camo, but I like the various versions of coast camo. We’ll see if I decide to get anything, especially with the new (outrageous) prices.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yes, coast camo is much more subtle as far as camos go, and some of the color schemes look really nice.

hey there is am interesting katno jacket too in the UK http://www.lululemon.co.uk/products/clothes-accessories/women-jackets-and-hoodies/Kanto-Catch-Me-Run-Jacket?cc=0001&skuId=uk_3633519&catId=women-jackets-and-hoodies

D’oh! Thanks for pointing that out Allie, I’m going to add it!

I don’t like camo but do like the colors in that first camo pic. I wish the windy blooms regal plum print didn’t also have dots on it. One thing I need this winter is a running jacket so I’m interested in checking both these out…though doesn’t look like either have.cuffins :-(
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I bet cuffin’d jackets will be on their way in the next few weeks. Most of the stuff still hasn’t gotten into *really* cold weather gear. I’m hoping for rulu-lined pants like the dog runners, too.

I really love the look of the rain on train on tights- we’ll see.
The kanto running jacket also looks pretty sweet.
The only problem I have with the reflective 7/8 tights is quality over time, and the length- I’m weird about it.
I either want a crop right at the knee, or a full length tight to cover my entire leg.
The price? Look- if it was the old Lulu quality that got me hooked in 2008, no worries, but in my opinion, it’s a bit audacious for a company that has continued to struggle with quality issues.
And as a former endurance athlete, I feel they have a long way to go in order to be able to keep company with the true tech- wear guru’s like CW-X, 2XU, and even Falke with regards to performance.
These are brands you’ll gladly drop $200 for a pair of tights, because you know they wear and perform worthy of their price point.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah, I hear you that it’s pretty bold to jack up the prices when we buyers aren’t getting an improved product in return. But in their last earnings report a couple months ago, lulu mentioned that their pants were selling very well, so clearly people are still buying. Lulu seems to have enough clout and general brand recognition at this point that people are willing to pay a premium for that, even if the quality is hit or miss.
