I’m so excited to debut something new to the blog today! I’ve been looking for ways to breathe new life into my outfit photos, so I called in a little help from Julia. She really captured the vibrant colors and details that make this outfit so good. I hope you like them as much as I do, and I can’t wait to share more!
To me, this outfit is classic lululemon. A little girly, a little fun, bright, and super-flattering. Plus, it incorporates some of my all-time favorites. These parallel stripe wunder under crops go with everything, are functional for every workout, flatter the booty, and are really soft to boot. I always get compliments on these. And of course, the heathered paris pink define is a highly coveted classic for a reason. It’s thick, soft, fits like a glove, and is just SO PINK. I mean seriously, look at those photos. Who can resist? I thought maybe I would only keep this for a season and pass it on, but…nope. We’ve bonded. To finish it off, I added my fun new Nikes and a little purple accent from my CRB underneath to play up the girly factor. (I almost wore my bali breeze CRB underneath this outfit, but I had to rein myself in. Stop wearing bali breeze with everything, Suzanne, geez.)

This is SO cute! Love the outfit combo (I have the Athleta version of those crops!) and you make a great model… nice work! I wish there was a place to just see lots of great Lulu outfit ideas like this. :)

Thanks Shannon! Hopefully over time I’ll create a nice little archive of outfits, but I am but one woman with a finite wardrobe! The ladies at Our Daily Lemon post lots of lulu OOTDs, too: http://ourdailylemon.blogspot.com/

You look so adorable! Love this new feature on your blog (and hope there’s more to come). I love seeing how you put different pieces together. And yes- that is a PINK top! lol love it!!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thanks Gretchen! There is indeed more where that came from. :)
Naders says
total classic Lulu. You look great
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thank you so much!! :)

LOVE! Parallel stripe wunder under crops are one my go-to’s as well. I don’t know how often you can get a professional photographer to follow you around (hehe) but I would love to see more posts like this! I love seeing how other people put together their favorites, not just store photos of the week’s new product. Keep up the great work on your blog!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thanks Mollie, I’ll definitely be doing more like this! Hopefully it can become a pretty regular feature.

Totally Pinterest worthy! :)

Great photos. Love the idea to mix different pieces from different releases or different brands and show us how you put it together!

Thanks! Glad you like. :)

Yes! I love seeing how different women put different Lulu outfits together. You really captured the classic Lulu look! Recently while walking out of my local Lulu store, I was behind two women and overheard their conversation. The one, who was, to put it nicely, style challenged said something like not wanting to be “that person who wears Lululemon.” I was dying to ask what person she meant. The person who wants cute, functional, well made, durable workout gear that makes her feel confident and excited and motivated to work out? The person who looks totally cute and feels just as awesome? Yeah, who would want to be “that person”? These pictures remind me of that, of everything I love about Lulu.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thank you, Jenn!! I actually have a little bit of personal experience with that kind of comment. Several years ago, I actually felt quite a bit like that woman did. At the time, I felt like lulu was the territory of vapid young women, label whores, and generally people who were brainless “lulu-lemmings” forking over a lot of money for a product I couldn’t believe was worth it (not that I’d tried!). Stupid and immature, I know, but somehow that was the impression I got–I don’t remember how or from where. I’m sure it also didn’t help that some of the first times I’d even heard of lululemon were both in a very negative light (the “who is John Galt” shopper controversy, and the murder at the Bethesda store). But my how things change!
Jenn @ Running on Lentils says
Interesting perspective! It was love at first store visit for me.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Well, technically it was for me too…lol.
Marshmallow says
I think it might have to do with how you’re introduced to the brand outside of the store. My brother introduced me to it and I initially was shopping online, so I didn’t have any image of lulu beyond that.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Totally, I hadn’t even set foot in a store but somehow I’d gotten negative messages about lulu into my brain that kept me away for a while. The first time I went into a store, I bought something, and that was the beginning of the end…
Marshmallow says
Ha! The beginning of the end. Likewise. I was living a place that was hot and insanely humid during the summer, and I bought beach runner crops and a swiftly racerback for my runs. In contrast to what I had been using, I felt like I was running on a cloud…
kC says
I first heard of lululemon during the murder coverage (Bethesda was my local store at the time) so it definitely took me a few years to even consider setting foot inside.
Sophie says
OMG that bruised berry CRB…ugh, why wasn’t I addicted to Lulu when that came out? LOL. Awesome photos! Love this feature :)
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Funny story: I didn’t buy the BB CRB when it first came out either. When one of my lulu friends was on vacation in New Zealand(!!) she found it on MD at a store there and offered to angel it for me. So my BB CRB is actually imported from halfway around the world!!! Kind of cool but also kind of insane. ;)
Sophie says
Aww what a great story. It was meant to be :)
natz15 says
Love this! One of my favorite combos I wear is very similar, just subbing for a pigment CRB and heathered jeweled magenta define. I always get compliments on it, and something about it just makes me feel so feminine!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
That sounds like an amazing combo!! I’d love to sub in a nice saturated blue CRB. Maybe lulu will come out with a new one soon…
Farmer says
Oh Suzanne you’re just so pretty!! I’ve never seen you smiling in any of the pics you’ve posted before. So adorbs! And I so love the outfit and the photos. Love love love! Smart, witty AND beautiful!!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Awww thank you so much, what a lovely thing to say! :’) I admit I feel preeeetty awkward in front of a camera so oftentimes it makes life easier to just leave my face out of the equation. Having a photographer definitely helps!! :)
Marshmallow says
Love this. What a fun feature! The professional photos and the outfit are so bright and refreshing. You have a great eye (not that we didn’t already know that) – it really does feel like *the* classic lulu outfit! Lulu can learn from you… ;) And like others, I’m kicking myself for not purchasing these first time around. Ha.
I haven’t been commenting like I used to be, but I really do love what you’ve been doing with the blog – the hiking write-ups, the shoe reviews (I bought both Nikes soon after reading your reviews), the still as-amazing-as-ever lulu problems. Inspiring, smart, fun, and engaging. You’re the best!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thanks so much!! I’ve been noticing your absence from the comment section, but glad you’re still around. :) Also glad to hear things around here have been useful to you!! Mission accomplished.
Marshmallow says
I’ve been spending a lot less time both on the internet and shopping, your blog is like my fix! (Although after going into the Nike store after your recent rec’s I think I have a Nike problem — just bought the Wildhorse3s, too.) Mission accomplished indeed :)
PS – While I was on the phone with my parents, I sent them a couple of the animated cat gifs from this past week and got to listen to my dad gasping from the adorableness, then cracking up madly, when he saw them. Very satisfying.
cadet_blue says
Love this post! I hope you make this a thing. You look great!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I hope it becomes a thing too! :) I was worried I wouldn’t be able to come up with enough outfits, but then I realized, who am I kidding, even if I did one a week I could probably go for a LONG time, not even counting new purchases… :P

Beautiful photos! I love that you paired your parallel stripe WUCs with the heathered Paris Pink define. I have both pieces and never thought the look would be so darn cute and fun.
I wish lulu HQ would take a page out of your style book and use these photos as inspiration for their website. The overall “feel” reminds me of the web styling back in 2010-2011 when many of pictures were taken outdoors in a less sterile environment than the current white/grey backdrop. The models smiled in a carefree, genuine way and had more athletic builds that helped the clothing hang better and appear more flattering. Thanks so much for sharing:)!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thanks!! I hadn’t really thought of that, but yeah, I can definitely see some similarities between these photos and lulu’s old styled photos. I love those old photos so maybe that was subconsciously what I was going for. :)
gwen marie brehaut says
You should be modeling for Lululemon! Great product Representation!??
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Wouldn’t that be fun! :)
Steph Hunsaker says
You are so pretty!!!! There’s the define!!!! ?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thanks!! And yes, the beeeest!!!!
choc.chip.smoothie says
Awesome idea, keep those photos coming! And you’ve just made me an instant fan of the define jacket :)
Btw, I’m normally a size 2 in lululemon crops, which size should i go for in athleta?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thanks!! :) I only have one pair of crops from Athleta, but I’m also a size 2 and the size XXS fits great.
Amherstlulu says
You are my inspiration. I have been a Forme girl because Define in my size up (based on most people’s recommendation) never fit me right. Your post prompted me to try on my tts, size 4, today. LOVE. You should get commission from Lulu :)
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Hooray!!! Glad I could play a little part in your jacket success. :) I prefer the simpler design of the forme, but the define (or at least this one–it’s my only one!) just fits SOOO well.
Mal Mal says
You look smashing. Totally rocking it. Love how you think out of the box and the new direction of your blog.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Thanks so much! :) Glad you’re digging it.

I like the post. You have some great ideas and I can’t wait to see more! Your outfit really makes me wish I liked pink. I just… can’t. Haha
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah I don’t know why but I’ve been on such a pink kick lately! Not sure if that’s good or bad, lol.
Leigh says
I’m a little late to the party but love these shots!
