Australia got a new capsule this week, dance to yoga, a studio-inspired line exuding easy femininity. There’s quite a lot of pieces in this capsule, as you’ll see.
Probably bound to be the most popular item of this collection: dance to yoga special edition high times pants in pretty plume. Pretty plume is the main pattern for the dance to yoga capsule, so I’m guessing the pretty plume WUP will drop in North America whenever the dance to yoga capsule does since it fits very much with both the look and theme.
The dance to yoga tank incorporates some obligatory mesh with perforated details in the back. It does have a built in bra you’re seeing underneath the mesh. (These are two different tanks, btw–naval blue and pretty plume. It’s not two-toned like the breezy singlet.)
The dance to yoga bra has the same perforated mesh and barely-there front coverage. The straps are straight and adjust in the back. Overall, this looks a lot like a normal bra and not much like a sports bra (not that that’s necessarily a bad thing).
The dance to yoga pants are kind of oddly named considering they only have a 21 7/8″ inseam. There’s nothing called dance to yoga crops that’s stealing the name–maybe that’s coming? Anyway, these look like a similar cut and style as the om pants, just shorter. They’re made of swift ultra light.
Appropriately enough, the dance to yoga capsule also includes a leotard. Unlike some recent leotards, the boyshort style on these actually offers full butt coverage. It’s actually looks a lot like a flow and go tank on top married to boogie shorts. This style has adjustable straps too. I’ll be interested to see store photos of this on different bodies. It looks much more flattering than a lot of lulu’s other leotards.
The dance to yoga skort is probably the most boring piece. I think it was supposed to be flowy and feminine, but in practice it looks very uninspired to me.
Moving on to other new pieces:
New alley stripe angel wing speed shorts. These remind me a little bit of mountie stripe from SeaWheeze a couple years ago. Thankfully I can pass here.
The new om on hoodie goes nicely with the casual studio pieces from the dance to yoga capsule. It’s merino wool and the sleeves are slightly cropped. Assuming this comes to North America, I’m guessing they’ll hold off til August, aka the start of lulu’s fall season.
A new textured heathered slate swiftly. The pattern looks like stripe play. The lulu logo is styled differently and actually looks like a thinner mesh material.
New cotton fleece versa vest. This is an interesting aesthetic, I wonder if it’s one piece of a capsule to come, and what the rest will look like.
Lastly… What happened here lulu? This gave me a little giggle. Seems to me that there are still some kinks left to work out in lulu’s new product photo styling…

I really like Pretty Plume. It reminds me of snowy owl….one of the prints I have been longing for.
I also ordered the SE crops last night. I used to have white WAFS Pace Crops, but I sold them since I hated the knee length. I was really lusting after the white WAFS Inspire Crops, but I couldn’t justify the eBay price for used Lulu. I barely missed them before the Pace crops….it was before I knew about Lulu’s scarcity model.
I also gleefully ordered some more Ivivva leggings. I’m in love with this new ocean distortion print. I was bummed I missed out on the beachscape leggings, but there was no way I would pay $300-500 for them. I actually prefer the colors for ocean distortion….I happen to have CRBs/105 F Singlets in all of the colors in the pants (aquamarine/power purple/lavender dusk)!

I am still lusting after the white WAFS inspire crops. I rarely find them on the FB boards, and once found them on Ebay for like $50ish. I totally spaced out when the bid time ended and didn’t get them. The search continues… And these WUCs won’t work since I use them in run in.

Oh nice, I hope the ivivvas work out! :) The WAFS inspires are really pretty. I wouldn’t mind a pair of fast and free crops in that print. Occasionally I’ve seen the inspires for good prices on ebay, but definitely not often. And I agree that pretty plume is reminiscent of snowy owl, but better imo. :)
