Both of my jeweled magenta goodies are here! I got the jeweled magenta energy bra and heathered jeweled magenta cool racerback. Here’s a quick review of both:
Heathered Jeweled Magenta Cool Racerback
Everybody seemed to be waiting for this one, including me. I ordered it on upload last week in my usual size. It takes til Monday for me to get my orders, so in the meantime, I was reading everyone else’s reports. Most people said theirs were sheer (showing the bra underneath and/or the waistband of their bottoms) and I saw the pics to back it up. Many people sent theirs back for this reason. So, I readjusted my expectations as I waited for the package to show.
When it arrived yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to discover mine actually wasn’t really sheer at all! I’m not sure if I just got a good batch or what. In my pics, I’m wearing a fatigue camo energy bra, and maybe if you look closely you can see that it’s darker where my bra is, but it’s not nearly as dramatic as other pics I’ve seen and, in my opinion, only noticeable if you’re looking for it. YAY! (Of course, your mileage may vary!)
That said, the fabric is on the thinner side, as many CRBs (especially the heathered ones) have been lately. It *is* quite soft, however. The fabric is slicker than a solid-colored CRB because it’s a polyester/nylon blend instead of just nylon. I don’t mind that the fabric is a bit thinner since it’s also soft. Some of the other CRBs lately have felt both thin and not as soft, which is not my favorite combination. But a thin-ish, soft CRB can be a nice option to have for summer, especially since my workouts really started heating up this past week.
I popped the tags off this one already–definite keepers. Also, the color looks awesome with my ray speed shorts!

Jeweled Magenta Energy Bra
As soon as I pulled this one out of the package, I was surprised by how small it looked even though it’s my normal energy bra size. To check whether I was just seeing things, I held it up to my harbor blue energy bra. Sure enough, the JM is a bit smaller all around. I checked it against a few of my other energy bras and the result was the same.
When I put it on, it didn’t really feel different from normal. Of course, anytime I get a new bra, it always feels a bit on the tight side at first, but not uncomfortably so. For me, I don’t really see this as a bad thing, since my bras inevitably lose some of their elasticity over many wears and washes anyway.
I’m currently planning on keeping this one, too, since my bra stash desperately needs shades of pink (and other lighter colors, for that matter).
The jeweled magenta energy bra is still available in all sizes online as of this writing (on the US side).
My jeweled magenta CRB is a bit on the sheer side but I’m keeping it anyway. The fabric is similar to my heathered opal CRB which I love.
Mine is also a tad sheer. I don’t mind either and have already worked out in it twice!
I wore mine today to crossfit with my FTBW in electric coral! Love how it looked.
Yup, and like Jane_Doe said above, it can be nice to have some variety! On a related note, I was noticing yesterday that my heathered med grey CRB (my only other heathered CRB) is getting pilled, in addition to it already being a bit stretched out. It’s just over a year old. Ughhh.
Thats a bummer. That’s why I prefer the slippery CRBs so avoid the pilling and stickiness.
Mine wasn’t sheer but I returned it.
Like my heathered paris pink and heathered flash more… It was okay but too thin and slick for me.
If I had those two I probably would’ve returned too! Great colors. Jealous. :)

MIne wasn’t sheer either. It’s definitely thinner than the usual CRBs with less of a cotton feel, but it’s perfect for super humid days. Same goes for the poseidon CRB. Keeping them both! Love variety in my CRBs :D
Yes exactly! I didn’t get the poseidon CRB yet. The heathered fabric doesn’t look like it’s as rich of a shade as I was hoping. :
You’re right. It looks denim! I think I love it for that reason alone. I’ve heard some piling issues for both Poseidon and JM CRBs. Have you encountered that?
Not yet! I’ve only worn JM a couple of times. My heathered grey from last year is pilling quite a bit though. :
Any chance you could write an update in comments about the JM energy after you’ve washed it? I’ve heard reports it bleeds in the wash, and just wanted an honest opinion before I pull the trigger myself!
I’ll try to remember to do this! I’d heard about bleeding too (though not til after I wrote this review). I’ll plan to hand wash it in the sink the first 2-3 times. After that, I usually wash all my brights with other brights (no whites or lights) so I hope it won’t cause any trouble!
