This week, we were promised a “big” upload with lots of prints. And indeed, a ton of the pigment wave stuff and the like that we’ve been waiting on seemed to get dumped tonight. It’s the last official upload of spring this week, so lulu is probably trying to push out as much as possible so they can start fresh. Next week will be May, which is the start of the summer season for lulu. The first week of the season is always full of tons of sneak peeks and new colors/prints. Brace yourselves!
Anyway, the main focus of today was the various tencel items that overall strike me as somewhere between yogawear and pajamas/loungewear. This includes the wake and flow items, easy breezy pants, and various lighter weight pullovers.
Pigment wave speed shorts are here! Size 6-10 were sold out within minutes of upload on Canada side, unless they weren’t there to start with, and the 2s and 4s disappeared shortly after. Wow. I bet a lot of these will come back online from returns, though, due to ordering multiples. All sizes are still available on the US side, and I can’t help but wonder if there was significantly more stock on our side to start.
Stuff your bras! I know lots of people have been eagerly anticipating these. 4 colors so far. All but black is available in a size 2 on the US side (oddly, the reverse is true in Canada: only black in a size 2, none of the other colors), unlike what I initially thought due to the lack of 2s in Australia. Ahhhh, so tempted!
Lots more pigment wave bottoms for the US: inspire crops, inspire tights, what the sport shorts, and speed tights. Surprisingly, I’ve heard so far the the inspire crops actually don’t seem to be sheer.
Canada got the oh-so-adorable pigment wave black/white hit your stride skirt, but the US only got breezie regal plum. Size 12 in these skirts is only available in Canada for whatever reason.
And of course, the infamous pigment wave tech high times pants are now in Canada. Unless I just missed them, these didn’t go up in a 2.
Canada got some funky new weekend long sleeves, like this heathered medium grey one with robot foil sleeves.
The addition of the straight up bra (US only) included a couple colors that weren’t overseas (to my memory), like this narrow bold stripe white/naked.
Anyone want cactus pants? Hehehe. These and other colors of the jet crop slim trousers are finally online in the US.
The minty grey pique vinyasa was added to both sides. Lulu apparently can’t quit with the pique vinyasas this year.
Other upload notes:
– The heat wave/regal plum FTBW uploaded to the US.
– Heat wave regular rise WUC are in Canada. No 12 in these.
– More heat wave: the cool racerback is in the US. Still no regal plum CRBs…
– I’m just now seeing that the wake and flow camisole is $58. For a simple cami with hardly any substance…yikes.
– The black/almost blue plaid run all day backpack made it to the US, but still no sign of electric coral/regal plum.
– A couple new colors of the pace rival skirt appeared in both regular and tall, including good vibes deep navy.
– Printed miss mistys are in the US, namely iridescent and pigment wave black/white.
– There was also a surprise addition of a vintage green rain on jacket to the US, although it’s pretty late in the season for such a heavy rain jacket.
– Those high times pants with the mesh accents down the sides were uploaded to the US. No 2 or 12 in black cherry, and no 12 in black.

another disappointing upload…I did get the high times (mesh) and am tempted by the electric coral stuff your bra as I have several and LOVE them. Hopefully next week being a new month will be more exciting.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I have my eye on the brushed animal RSYB. I’m trying to branch out of my solid energy bra rut…
bosshog says
I like that one, love the contrast of the fresco blue on the straps. I have a black and white striped one from Seawheeze last year, otherwise I might be tempted as well…
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Also, I hope there are more RSYBs in new summer colors! I’m mostly hesitating because maybe there will be a better color later…sigh.
Palmtree says
Do you remember if they put out more colors after the initial release in past years? I was hoping for that beautiful blue one that the Aussies got a while back.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I don’t remember unfortunately. There were only a handful of colors last year if I remember correctly so maybe the odds aren’t good… :
guest says
Last year they had sweet spot dot, black, cadet, flowabunga, groovy striped cadet, Pipe Dream Blue deauvelle stripe, black and white referee looking one and a gray silver spoon mini striped looking one. So they did come out with more during the summer months.
I ordered the Pigment Wave RSYB because I figure it will go with all my pacesetter skirts and even my patterned speeds and all my tops will go with. I just hope the pattern placement I get is better than the one on the model on the website. Doesn’t someone hand-pick this stuff for photo shoots?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Ahhh that’s definitely more than I remember. There is hope! :)
bosshog says
agreed. this is the only reason i’m waiting on the EC.
Marshmallow says
Hmm. Since the Stuff Your Bra gets such rave reviews, I’ll give it a shot. I would’ve tried it in pigment wave, but I’ve found the material used for the prints isn’t as supportive for me in the bras, and I need all the support I can get.
guest says
I have several printed RSYB’s and they all seem to fit the same. Especially since the printed part is on the outside/pocket section and the inside is a solid color. I think you’d be fine with it.
Marshmallow says
You sold me! I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the info. With the inside being solid, I imagine I’ll be safe.
It’s the Energy Bras in heat wave and moody mirage that didn’t work for me. But I’m a 30E, I think my bust just weighed it down too much, and I expect most would not notice a difference.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
This makes me skeptical about getting the heat wave energy bra. Gah.
Marshmallow says
I’m sorry! I think odds are high that you wouldn’t have the same problem I do, though. You wear bras that I don’t think I could, like the beautiful Olympia one. The sizing seems the same, it’s just that print fabric they’ve been using that’s the difference, and I haven’t seen anyone else mention having a problem with it. And… at least shipping is free with bras?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
It’s true, my boobs are weird. :P I need a 30D or even DD in most regular bras so they don’t cut in awkwardly, but I think that’s more to do with them being a weird shape than actually being…voluminous, I suppose. I have one that’s a 28D and fits fine in the cups. Wtf??? Bane of my existence. I will never understand these things.
Marshmallow says
I feel your pain. Although, I did not mean “your boobs are weird” by anything I wrote, heh. It’s hard for me to find a bra that fits me well, too.
On that non-lulu note… I recently decided to try out a bunch of “real” bras, and discovered what for me is the most comfortable one I’ve ever owned: http://www.barenecessities.com/chantelle-c-natural-seamless-minimizer-bra-2051_product.htm?pf_id=Chantelle2051&singleproduct=true
I highly recommend giving it a shot, maybe order a couple sizes.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Haha yes, definitely didn’t think that’s what you were saying. :) I probably wouldn’t be able to wear the Chantelle unfortunately. High gores are very painful for me, which makes bra hunting basically impossible for my size since even “plunge” bras still often aren’t truly much of a plunge and dig in. Hence the endless march of sports bras, lol.
Marshmallow says
Hmm, okay, I think you know more about bras than me! Anyway I do hope you have some luck with the Heat Wave Energy if you’re still lusting after it :)
souffle says
Got the heatwave FTBW and multiple pigment wave speed shorts in my size. I wouldn’t be surprised if many more are doing the same. Hopefully one of them works out!
I also wanted the Cardi in the Front, but at $148+tax? Pass!!!
On a side note, I really wish LLL would come out with a rewards program. I don’t think it cheapens the brand at all. Bloomingdale’s does it and so does Nordstrom (with credit card)…also Sephora. Why can’t Lululemon?
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I remember reading/hearing months ago that lulu had a loyalty program in the works for 2015. I hope we see it soon. That said, something tells me they’ll be very stingy with discounts/store credits as a loyalty reward IF they offer them at all.
LG says
Does anyone know if the pigment wave inspires are coming out in Canada? Thanks!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
They *should*, but I don’t think anyone knows for sure.
guest says
Just as I expected – another over promise of a “big upload” and their typical under-deliver. Other than a bunch of pigment wave stuff it all seems to look like the same over and over again with the same dark colors.
I was happy to see the RSYB come back – finally. I love mine and wouldn’t mind another one – got the pigment wave multi one because I figure it will go with everything. And speeds. Yes, I bought multiple pairs to see what patterns I get :)
souffle says
Can you fit a cellphone comfortably in the RSYB? I’m thinking about getting one.
bosshog says
I can fit my iPhone 6 in my size 4. there is a visible rectangle in my tank or shirt but no biggie.
guest says
I fit my 5S in it. Other than the rectangle showing it fits just fine.
Alexis says
Agreed- I was very underwhelmed, I ordered the mesh high times. Nothing else really interested me.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Funny, this is one of the first uploads in weeks where I have a few things in my cart, though I haven’t pulled the trigger since I’m iffy on like half of it. Of course, all that stuff will probably sell out tomorrow and I’ll be kicking myself as usual. :P Overall though, I agree that it wasn’t really earth-shattering. I haven’t felt that way about upload in a long time though.
Jenn @ Running on Lentils says
Good upload for me. Got the electric coral pace rival skirt, regal plum energy bra & buffalo check run backpack (boo to the price increase). Also ordered over the weekend & got today the sculpt tank in both pigment wave & regal plum, intending to return one. It’s a loose, airy fit. Between that, the UPF 50 fabric & high neckline, I think it will be great for summer runs. And the back is gorgeous–both energy & all sport bras look great with it. I’m tempted to keep both. Interestingly, the main plum color in pigment wave looks much lighter than regal plum. Really love pigment wave now that I see it in person. But, I may have to go on another Lulu ban.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Wow, you’ve been making out like a bandit lately. Lots of people seem to be raving about the sculpt tank but I’m not sure if I can jump on the bandwagon with that one.
Jenn @ Running on Lentils says
After waking up in the middle of the night & thinking I *had* to have it, I went back this morning & ordered the black run for days bra. Now I’m done!!! I can see doubts about the sculpt tank. It’s a straight fit & IMO isn’t as flattering as fitted tops, at least on me (trying to talk myself into returning one here).
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah, I worry the silhouette and size of the sculpt tank would look like I’m wearing my bf’s shirt (in a bad way) on a petite person. It just seems like a lot of tank for not a lot of person, lol. Also lol at waking up in the middle of the night…classic. :)
love 'em says
I absolutely LOVE my sculpt tank. I took my CRB tts 4 in it. And yes, it’s slightly boxy and I was hesitant initially. Till I ran an 18 miler in 88 degree heat – and never felt sweaty or gross or overheated. It really does work extremely well. I think people are so used to tight CRB’s that anything not tight they are freaking out about it looking boxy or not fitted. Part of why it works so well is the shape of the top itself. The length is perfect, it doesn’t ride up, it doesn’t stick to you and the vent in back works. As I get older too I appreciate having the higher neckline as it covers and protects the thin skin of the chest area from the sun. It also doesn’t slide, fall or move up therefore there’s no adjusting ever. I get it’s not for everyone but I feel like because it’s not tight-fitting that people poo-poo it just on that. That and the high neckline and don’t give it a shot. I only wish they had more colors in it…I’d dump my swiftly’s and CRB’s in a heartbeat for these.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
All good points! Perhaps I shouldn’t knock it til i try it. :)
Jenn @ Running on Lentils says
Oh no! I think you sold me on keeping both, lol! I bought them because I thought they’d be great for summer runs, so thanks for confirming. I am totally guilty of wanting only fitted tops, but when I tried it on I thought exactly what you said–they don’t have to all be fitted, and it’s good to have some variety in my wardrobe. Okay, I’m definitely keeping both. :-)
souffle says
I’m still on the fence on the sculpt tank in pigment wave I have. I’m not sure about the fit, but the pattern placement is so darn perfect! I’ve tried the tank in several colors, and while my usual size 4 fits comfortably and loosely as intended, it is always too short. However, length is a very common problem for me. For my height, I have a ridiculously long slim torso and short stubby legs; I’m 5’4″, and when sitting, I’m the same height as my 5’11” bf. The size 6 is a good length, but it looks too big. Had the same sizing issue with the Run For Days tank. But damn the pigment wave print I got looks so good! Sigh…lulu problems…
I love the CRB because it’s looong. Even that Warrior Tank (not sure if this is the official name) that reviewers complained was way too long was the perfect length on me =/
guest says
All my height is in my legs so I have the same problem but with pants. I can’t buy true Tall clothing because the rise is wrong since i’m not tall even though I need the length of the tall. Most 17″ crops on me are more like bermuda shorts so most running crops don’t work for me. I hear ya on the battle of finding something that fits right. Oddly enough I don’t like the pigment wave in the sculpt tank at all. Lol! Depends on how short it truly is or if it just feels short because you are so used to the long CRB’s. On me it’s just about hip bone length on the side and while shorter than CRB’s on me I’m comfortable with where it hits since when I run I usually don’t raise my arms to cause it to move up and show anything. Lol! Good luck with your decision!
Narters says
Finally, the On The Daily Hoodie in HBD… I’ve been waiting for this forever!
Samantha says
Uhh expensive week for me. Bought the regular rise regal plum WUP, returning the roll down regal plum WUP bought in store last week. Also bought the heatwave FTBW bra, and the clear mint/naval blue run times shorts.
Last week, I also bought the black pacesetter on WMTM, the new regal plum run crop, and the animal print run times (sold my soul geo speeds for these). Planning on returning the run crops as I tried them on in store the next day and didn’t like them.
Agree with Jenn @ running on lentils, lulu ban for me!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Sounds expensive indeed! At least you have one you’re probably returning to soften the blow, lol.
Palmtree says
Does anyone know if the jet crop slim trouser are made from rulu or not (in the black or black cherry)?
I am not attracted by the multi pigment but I feel like ordering some speeds just not to miss out and regret later. What is wrong with me…
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I have the same feelings about the pigment wave speeds! Pattern placement would be a huge hassle for me though so I’m thinking I’ll skip out for that reason.
Marshmallow says
That’s how I feel about the Inspires as well. I figure I will order one pair. If I am not thrilled with them, generally or with the pattern placement, I’ll consider it fate and return.
Mel says
Hah…I do that a lot, too. If it doesn’t fit, etc….consider it fate. It totally works! I did pick up a pair of the PW speeds in store and was fortunate to pick my favorite among a few pairs. Most had decent pattern placement, but I went with a pair that had less of the giant regal plum splotches and picked one with more white instead since I’ve been wanting lighter colored speeds. I will say there was one pair that literally had a perfectly-placed block of regal plum just across the bum area…looked like I had sat in purple popsicle juice.
Palmtree says
I decided to pass and save myself the time, hassle, and money. I’ll wait for something I truly love!
Mykonosforlife says
Just the Pigment Wave speeds. Fingers crossed I receive a pair with a pattern placement I’ll be happy with, since I won’t be there to receive them. I can always resell them on Ebay at the end of the year if I’m not happy. Ended up buying the Straight Up bra here in London, and I quite like it; it reminds me of the Daily Bra from a few years back, and it nice to have something other than another Flow Y……
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Fingers crossed for you too!! :) As you said, if you don’t love the placement, someone else probably will.
Mel says
I ended up ordering the EC RSYB. Was planning to order the EC what the sport singlet but I’m not 100% sold on the oddly narrow cut of the bust area so I may take my chances and hope for a CRB instead. Though have you looked at the CRB color selection lately? It’s pretty bland, and they don’t seem to be making moves to change it. Maybe we will get lucky in May?
cadet_blue says
I thought the same thing! But where are the CRBs though. I haven’t bought one since like August last year.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah, CRBs have been consistently awful for like a year. The few decent colored solids have sold out pretty quickly (most recently, clear mint and deep navy). Regal plum should be online sometime soon (it’s been in stores) but other than that…ugh. Apparently there’s a strawberry milkshake CRB, on top of butter pink and neutral blush. Why more washed out neutral pinks? Ugh lulu.
guest says
It was mentioned at some point that the CRB will have more colors come summer via Lululemon on Hey Lululemon in response to the bland color choices. That tells me that they had planned to discontinue the CRB that one time but the outcry about it was huge so they didn’t. Timing for the fashion industry is about a year out from design to sew to shipping to sales floor so that’s about right as far as timing goes (that’s my thinking anyway). Anyway…..per Lulu more CRB’s should be hitting in the summer color palette.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I agree with your assessment re: discontinuing and pivoting. That said, lulu seems kinda tone deaf sometimes, so a large part of me expects that what they have in mind for the summer CRB-wise may still not align with what we’re looking for. Time will tell…
Jane_Doe says
Was hoping the big upload might include stained glass menthol pow pink FTBs but nope.
Bought just two pairs of the pigment wave speeds in sizes 2 and 4 to try my luck. Hoping for massive swirls of greens and less pink. If I get splotchy mostly white shorts, figured I could turn to FB groups for SSs with exact print placements. Really, just caught up in all the hype! :D I know the pigment wave print is popular partly because it resembles UT, but I’ve never seen many photos of people actually wear their UT SSs?
If this print doesn’t work, I’m going to hunt for a pair of Vintage Pink SSs.
Mal Mal says
same here. Still waiting for stained glass menthol pow pink FTBs !
Jane_Doe says
I’m wondering now if it’ll ever get to the US. :(
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah, I was hoping for SG speeds as usual because people mentioned the port. Disappointed again! I’m thinking I will pass on the pigment wave, despite the hype. I hope I don’t regret this! I suppose I can always buy off of the resale boards and know what I’m getting, should I change my mind. I wish I could see it in real life before buying, but I don’t want to tie the money up to order/return.
michelle says
i totally forgot about the upload but always come to see your blog. it was cute – better than those of late, still i wasn’t tempted – i have a few items in unicorn tears and the new wave sort of reminds me of that Plus i have tons of lulu from buying for years and years, so i’m on a ban – i have been selling some of my lulu and have not bought 1 in months – still like lulu but it feels good to not buy new lulu every week. awesome blog!!!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah, a few people have made the unicorn tears/pigment wave comparison. I think the pattern distribution of UT is a little better (pigment wave can be awfully sparse) but the coloring of pigment wave is nice. And I agree, it can be nice to coast through uploads with no temptation. :) I was a little tempted by some bras this week but still haven’t bought anything. We’ll see…
cadet_blue says
Haha… this upload, I bought three bras. Oh and the stuff your bra is totally worth it. I hate wearing armbands and this thing holds my iPhone 6 perfectly while I run. I have zero boobs, but the support is similar to the All Sport.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I think it could be useful for hikes and such when my bf has most of the stuff in his pack but I want easy access to some things. Too bad you can’t fit a water bottle in it, bahaha.
BD says
The one thing I’m kinda interested in is the City Skirt – not in the new electric coral, though, that just drew my attention to it. I really dig little wiggle skirts like that, and the lower hem in the back makes it interesting.
I’m glad to hear that this should be the end of their spring collection – except for a few speed shorts, nada out of lulu has interested me this season. I’m hoping their summer stuff will bring me back around. Also, I’ll be visiting the Big City in a few weeks and will have the chance to visit an actual store, where I can try things on and get a real time concept of what I’m buying before I buy it. May it be a worth while trip!
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yes hopefully it will be! It’ll be good timing, since the beginning of the season means plenty of new stuff. I’m eagerly awaiting lulu’s summer sneak peek video, which should be up any day now. That’ll play a large part in determining how excited I am for the summer collection.
Mindy Gardner says
Hmmm! I don’t like the black stripe on the pigment wave inspires :(. I may go for the speed tights, but still iffy. I need most of my stuff to be able to from gym to errands/kids school, and speed tights may be a littttle much for that. Thought about the heat wave bra but decided against it since I bought the WU’s. I’m curious to see what goes to WMTM tomorrow.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah I don’t like the pigment wave speed tights as much as some of the other stuff for whatever reason. It’s a shame they didn’t really do any plain pigment wave bottoms like high times or WU (the mummy high times don’t count, lol).
Mindy Gardner says
Hahaha I was so sad we didn’t get the high times, but omg, you’re right, they are like a mummy!!
Daimler says
I ordered heatwave high times to try and hated that “mummy” part in front. Of course when I go to return she is like what is your feedback and I say I just hate this front part it looks like garbage, I couldn’t find the words, mummy would have been perfect exactly what I was thinking! I felt like I was in an odd Halloween costume. Why lulu? Why?
angeline says
Omg. The bras. Hahha yes I was tempted to get the Rsyb. How does it fare in terms of keeping stuff dry. do you all put the phones , iPod into a plastic sheath? Coz the last time I stuffed an iPod into my bra it short circuited lol sigh. Guess coz I sweat like a pig esp w the weather in my area (tropics)
Oh (facepalm moment) I ordered the same thing twice from WMTM last week. Sigh.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
I’m definitely not the one to ask about the RSYB. :) I used to live in NC, though, so I feel you about the sweaty humidity issues, lol.
guest says
I haven’t had any issues but I usually slide my iphone in case back towards skin so the phone case is protecting the actual phone. Same thing when I slide it into the back zip pocket on my speeds or the side pocket on my crops. I have used those thicker jewelry zip lock bags and slide it in there – I got like 50 of them for $2 at a local store here by me. I can still use the phone touch screen through the bag and it’s no big deal to use it either. It’s a thicker plastic than a regular ziplock baggie and lasts through several runs before I have to toss them. Bonus is I can put my ID and money in there as well and when I stop for ice tea or something to drink on the way home i’m not handing the poor sales girl wet sweaty money :P
Lulu & the Box says
I think they snuck the Regal Plum CRB in 2 weeks ago in the US. My memory is foggy on if I saw it online or not – however, I can definitely tell you that a friend of mine picked one up in store at the same time I snagged those Pigment Wave Speeds a couple weeks back prior to upload.
As for the rest of this week’s upload… I went bananas. (What’s that sound? Just my bank account whimpering in the background)
Electric Coral FTBW
Fresco Blue Speeds
Clear Mint/Gray Flow Y
Heat Wave CRB
I’ve been eyeing the Electric Coral Var-City tank for a while now, finally took the plunge after unable to find it in any store to try on. Fingers crossed it fits.
And now… I IMPATIENTLY wait for the FedEx man! The phrase “On FedEx vehicle for delivery” is such a taunting phrase when a new haul of lulu is on its way.
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
That’s a pretty serious haul! I’ve managed to resist buying anything this week still. I’m too busy crying over my bank account to be tempted I guess, lol. We’ll see how long that lasts.
