SeaWheeze 2015 Shorts Sneak Peek!!! (Shipping Next Week!)

April 14, 2015 / 17 Comments

Lululemon seawheeze 2015 shorts prints sneak peek

Look what showed up today!  Here’s a sneak peek of the patterns on this year’s SeaWheeze entry shorts.  The left is men’s and the right is women’s.

Of course, although seeing a sneak peek is exciting in theory, in practice……..EW.  Both look like bad 90s carpet.  Sorry SW people.  I hope the actual shorts are nicer!

Speaking of which: these shorts are slated to ship next week, about April 20th.  SeaWheeze runners: watch your mailbox!

Btw, This is a preview of the little booklet coming with the shorts.  This seems to reiterate the sort of whimsical-psychedelic-mad-scientist thing they seem to be going for this year, along with showing more of the possible color theme.

Yeah, I’d be disappointed if I was signed up for SW. At least they should resell easily, haha.

Hi! I’m newbie in the Lulu brand as of winter 2014. I always see these for sale on other sites, but how do you get this Seewheez items? Are they sold in stores? Is it only in Canada, or here in the states too? Please enlighten me. I’ve learned tons about Lulu items, colors, patterns etc but not quite yet about Seewheez. I just know it’s held in CA …. I think lol thnx so much in advance for your help.

Seawheeze is the half marathon put on by Lulu and it’s held in Vancouver every year. You get a pair of shorts when you sign up to run and then there is a collection of items that are sold only at Seawheeze. If you see them on other sites (like ebay or on the fb selling boards) they are items being resold by people who attended.

Yes Lakena’s right! :) It’s a half marathon where they bait you into coming with exclusive products that are sold at a pop-up shop for the event. They’re almost always really hot items!!

what’s the word that’s two levels worse than ‘ugly’….
it’s like they’re banking on the cult status of Portland airport carpet. man, these are terrible.

Nailed it! Except, Portland is a special place, so I don’t think that will fly anywhere else…

I will reserve my judgement till I get the speeds and see what they do. Last year the sneak peak freaked everyone out and I love my registration shorts. They are fun and different. The weird planet pattern could easily be the inside liner. Last year the background pattern was the actual shorts pattern (in this year case then it’s the confetti pattern) yet we never saw the ugly fish with legs anywhere and the logo was an eye. Therefore, I will wait patiently to find out what they have come up with

The confetti pattern looks like bacillus bacteria to me, lol. Reminds me of days looking in the microscope and being like “oh SH*&, there’s bacteria killing my cell cultures!”, haha! It was quite merciful that the weirdo fish-person never showed up. I guess we’ll have to wait til next week to see exactly how this preview fits in.

The weird fish-person thing freaked me out. Hated it and hoped that it didn’t come in anything and was SO glad it didn’t. However, I passed on the swiftly, singlet and shorts that had the weird eye logo – that was a little creepy. On the race course it felt like I was being stared at. I absolutely was disappointed and hated the seawheeze store previews a couple weeks before the race and thought it was all ugly and then got there and it was gorg in person. So you never know. My sky to seawheeze speeds – the ones I swore i’d never wear from the previews – are my absolute fave pair ever so jokes on me. Haa haa

I’m so intrigued by the one circle on the women’s shorts in the upper right that looks like a bridge with a pink sky in the background. I think I’m gonna love ’em. I end up liking more than half of what Lululemon does and there were very, very few things at the SW14 Expo that I wouldn’t have wanted assuming unlimited availability and funds. I’m guessing I’m going to SQUEEEEEE!!! when I get these shorts. I hope so!

You’re right, that particular dot is really pretty. :) I hope you love them! Sometimes the previews don’t always give a full picture of what the products look like, so knows. Last year, I remember most people poo-poo’d on all the SW previews, and yet it still sold like hotcakes (except last year’s entry shorts which seem to be worth very little on the aftermarket these days, esp compared to years past).

I’m trying not to get too worked up over this little graphic. I’m speculating that this will be the liner of the shorts – or that the shorts will come in a pattern similar to ONE of the dots on that swatch. I have don’t all Sea Wheezes to date and have only loved last years shorts (the first was awful – almost flesh colour with tiny dots, the second OK – orang check pattern). The suspense is killing me now! I can’t wait to finally see them.

I kind of doubt the liner theory personally, because I feel like every shorts preview has ended up being part of the actual shorts. Of course, that might not mean it looks exactly how we expect based on this (since we’re just filling in the blanks, see above re: fish thing from last year), but I don’t think it’s the liner. I think SOME part of this image will be the actual shorts. We’ll all find out soon enough though!
