Upload 4/7: Var-City + Regal Plum + Why Poncho, Why

April 7, 2015 / 19 Comments

There were lots of fun little previews on the international uploads shortly before the North American upload (post coming momentarily) which got lots of people’s hopes up for tonight.  Unfortunately, most of the fun stuff remains overseas.  Canada got a slightly better upload, but the US in particular was a bit of a let down.

As we were promised, the var-city capsule uploaded.  Var-city cropped jersey (US) and var-city tank (Can) shown here.  The line bra didn’t upload yet.  Only Canada got the var-city crops.

This in the loop poncho I CANNOT.

LW4F02S_0014_1

The bhakti yoga jacket uploaded again.  Deep navy is the only new color.  I’m not sure why when they re-release things they seem to release the same neutral colors repeatedly.

LW7578S_017632_3

The US got clear mint speeds.  Again, there is no size 2, and AGAIN, this size is up on the Canadian side.  I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS.  Also it makes me want to punch something.

Meanwhile, Canada got the new iridescent speed shorts.  All sizes available.  The colors are pretty and vibrant in the stock pics though still not my thing.  Canada also got the iridescent inspire tights.

As we were promised in what we love, the rolldown electric coral wunder under crops uploaded to the US.  Size 2s and 12s got burned again.  These sizes were excluded from the WUP and now these sizes are SOL for crops too.

New regal plum rolldown wunder under pants in Canada.  No size 12.

LW8575S_018211_3

New french terry refresh skirt.  At 15″ in the front, this is definitely on the mini side of things.

LW5J95S_013274_2

These new perfect practice pants randomly showed up in cadet blue, along with bordeaux and black.  Canada only.

Finally, the all sport support tanks showed up, although just in Canada right now.  4 colors so far, sizes 4-12.

Other upload notes:

– The textured stripe slate WUC are now in Canada.

– Canada also has the tech mesh high times in star crushed coal black and heat wave.  Heat wave is missing in a 12.  Also, I’m not sure the heat wave is actually mesh, it’s just styled like the tech mesh.  If you look closely, it’s not see-through at all.

– Regal plum in flux jacket is in Canada, too.

– New earl grey/minty grey sweat & go bag in Canada with an interesting iridescent logo.

– Lots of new regal plum tops: sculpt tank (Can), 105F singlet, crossback tank (US), swiftly racerback (Can), swiftly SS (US), and swiftly LS (Can).  I wonder if this means we are more or less likely to get a regal plum CRB.

– The new scoop back tank is in the US in 2 colors.

– The star crushed multi miss misty landed in the US.  I believe some people were waiting for this one.

I got the Studio Pants in Plum and the Hip to Be Free bag in Mystic blah blah. If you want the speeds in Cool Mint, let me know. I’m happy to order and ship to you at cost, but don’t forget Canada is the land of 13% sales tax (at least in my province).

Thank you! :) For now, I prefer my ray speeds, and the two colors would be too similar. Thanks so much for offering!

Yeah, I can’t dig the all-over perforation. There’s a lot going on in that tank.

UGH!!! I am also soon annoyed with certain sizes being cut-off. I see sizes available in US that aren’t in Canada and vice versa. What’s the point?!

Yeah, I really don’t get it. If they produced a given size, why wouldn’t they offer in both regions? It’s not like there’s so many more people who wear 2 or 12 in Canada vs America. Very frustrating.

The regal plum WUP are super pretty <3.

I waited the past week for the clear mint speeds to come out, and I'm reading on the FB boards that they are incredibly sheer. I had a feeling they would be semi-sheer, but not buying them after what I read. Oh well, just the clear mint CRB for me.

I think the trail bound shorts are worse than the speeds. If you see them in stores it’s probably worth a try.

I bought the clear mint speeds and the iridescent studio tank, I think the latter will look balanced with the former. I love the Var City tank from the side but I don’t like that it’s fitted like a muscle tank from the front…having itty bitty boobies I really cannot handle such masculine cuts on my frame, it’ll make me look like a boy. :(

*I’m going to be really bummed if the clear mint speeds ARE sheer.

Yes, the pics I’ve seen of iridescent + clear mint look good together! :) Fingers crossed the clear mint speeds are opaque enough. The trail bound shorts in clear mint I think are the bigger culprit, those are *really* sheer.

Is electric coral pink or red?

Both? :) Probably closer to pink than red, but it does have some orangey tones in it. It has more pink tones than orange, but it is not a true pink (more neony), and it definitely is not anywhere near a true red either.

I want to try the varsity tank too. The description says loose fit, yet there is no size 2. (Size 2 people don’t want to size up in a loose fit tank!) But I’ll try it in store anyway. It’s really cute with interesting details.

Yeah, it’s always a shame when they don’t make 2s in loose-fitting stuff, especially since it means 4s (one of the most popular sizes) can’t size down.

Also, the poncho and terry skirt, WTF??

I would have scooped up the iridescent inspires but I don’t love the luxtreme fabric.

I bet the iridescent print will come on WUs. Printed luon is often sheer, although that may be mitigated by how busy the print is, which makes sheerness harder to make out.
