How has your other Persu bag held up so far? Would you ever be willing to do a review of the Tom? I’m so torn between the two! And I want to make sure they’re durable. I don’t consider the price that high as long as it lasts 3+ years.
Hello. I purchased and scored the Tom Persu bag on EBay for $80. I don’t mind the fact that it’s all black I was worried considering the fact that I’m hard on my things that if I bought the Jessica bag I would ruin the colored paneling. I love my bag. It’s very well made. Lots of nice touches. There is a guy on You Tube I think his name is Rizknows and he reviews the bag but Suzanes review is what sold me. I would equate the quality of this bag to a Lululemon gym bag. Very solid construction. The only thing I would be careful of is the removable lining. It’s a nice touch so you can wash it but I wish the lining was thicker and that the zipper was coated and a better quality so it doesn’t catch on things when the teeth are exposed. Other than that can’t complain it’s a great bag.
Omgosh Lizzie – we were totally bidding against each other on eBay!! (My high bid was $80). Haha… this gives me great delight for some reason. I’m so glad another person from the AA family got that bag :)
Haha oh how funny!! I know when I was bidding I thought urgh I REALLY want that bag but I don’t want to spend money since I need more athletic gear and clothing like I need a hole in my head, so I bid and crossed my fingers and said hey if it was meant to be I would get it.
And just think… now if you ever decide to sell it, you can come straight to me and save yourself some eBay fees. Lol.

I think the persu bag is completely worth the money. It is sturdy and well made, even better than the lululemon bags. The side panels wipe clean so far. I’ve had mine for over a month now, I wouldn’t give it up. My favorite was the jessica bag!
My Jessica bag has held up very well. I use it more than any of my other bags and it still looks good as new. No complaints at all! I’m definitely interested in the Tom bag, but I can’t justify the expense right now since it would serve basically the same purpose as my Jessica bag (and my lulu duffel for that matter). I obviously haven’t had my bag for 3+ years yet, but so far I still only have good things to say about it! :)

Oh, and I love that spacer mesh gym bag. As I clicked on it, I was hoping it would be the $25 one. Not so much… why the F is everything I like the most expensive?!

I hear y’all! Every bag I loved I hoped was the $25.00 one but my taste and my budget never quite match. I did find a vooray roadie duffel, not the polka dot one but a black and heather gray one on Amazon for 29.00 and free shipping with prime so close enough. Running Chicago marathon next month and want this bag to carry all my precious cargo for the big 26.2
Yes, it was the Vooray bag that was $25 when I first wrote the post. It’s up to $35 now (fixed the post to not get people’s hopes up, haha), but $29 and free shipping is definitely a great find. :) Good luck at the Chicago marathon, that’s amazing!

I love my persu jessica bag in the beautiful tourquoise color. I am even going to sell all of my Lululemon bags except for my run all day backpack, dtb, hot hobo and diversity bags. I have used the jessica bag for gym and weekend trips. It is perfect bag to carry everything I need. I am excited that it was one of ladies that got the Tom bag on eBay. I thought about it a few times since it was listed a couple of times but it was a little more than I needed. Thanks for the great blog and the new bag ideas.
I’m glad you love yours too! I agree, I use mine for pretty much everything. I have to go on a quick trip out of town soon, and I plan to take mine, I think it’ll be perfect. :)

I ordered the Lulu all day tote in black for work and gym. It is supposed to come tomorrow. I admired your sweat once a day bag. Most of the Lulu bags came out recently are either too big or too small. Hopefully it will end my search for a smallish all purpose bag.
I was actually interested in the all day tote as a replacement for my sweat once a day, which is getting *pretty* beat up after almost 3 years of daily use. Let me know how you like it! The showroom just opened up here last weekend, and I’m planning to go again this weekend. They have the all day tote in stock (or at least they did last weekend) so I’ll have to take a closer look.
I was not impressed. It is larger than I expected, on the stiff side, and lack of interior compartments. It is going back. Let me know what you think if you end up going to the store.
That’s too bad. No interior organization is definitely a big deal so it sounds like I probably won’t like it either. :(
I love the Persu bag but that would never work for me as I bike everywhere. It’s simply too big. I’ve owned a few lulu bags BUT I will now do a shameless plug for the best gym bag I’ve ever had: the Caraa. http://www.caraasport.com/ It’s roomy, versatile, light, and it fits in my bike basket. Ok, it’s pricey, but I’m pretty sure I’m keeping this one for a while. I have the studio 2 in gold. AA, you may want to check it out!
Yes, the structure of the duffels is definitely not ideal for biking! Thanks soooo much for sharing the Caraa bags, they are GORGEOUS. I’m looking for a replacement for my daily bag, and I’m really interested in the Liukin bag and the studio 2. They look like they could pass for a daily bag, and I love that they look big enough for my essentials. :) Like you said, they’re definitely not cheap, but definitely look promising… Thanks again!

So glad you liked them! The studio 2 is now my daily bag + gym bag. I fit gym clothes, sneakers, a smoothie, wallet, etc. and there’s enough room to spare. I’ve been eyeing the dance bag in blue and the Liukin also looks great…
Thank you for introducing Caraa to us. Definitely not good for my wallet. I also want the Studio bag in gold hardware, lol. It just looks so cool and versatile, but it is backordered. I may get it depending on how Studio 2 works out.
