This outfit incorporates a big chunk of my absolute most favorite color palette. I love all things that are remotely teal, plus the mixture of jewel tones. These crops really do all the talking–even with a simple top, this outfit is still tons of fun.
Speaking of these crops, right now these are my only piece from Athleta, but that might be changing soon. I flipped through their newest catalog the other day and have been eyeballing some of their new arrivals. Athleta always has a good selection of cold-weather pieces, and I’m 100% in fall shopping mode!
I’ve been soooo busy the past week-ish that last week I only managed to get one or two workouts in. We moved this weekend, so most of my time leading up to that has been spent cleaning and getting things in and out of boxes. On top of that, getting to the gym has been a bit harder lately in general, and my eating habits have been all over the place, so I’m feeling really off my game in numerous ways. I’m trying not to feel too bad about it, because there’s always an ebb and flow with this kind of thing, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a bit frustrating. And anyway, last week I still managed to work up to a really strong 3-rep max front squat (105#), so things could be worse. :) This week, I’m hoping to get my usual 3 or 4 workouts in again!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!

This is my favourite of the looks you’ve posted. I love the mix of brights with black. Those tights are beautiful; I wish we could get Athleta in Canada. I’m looking forward to Nordies opening in Toronto next year so that I’ll have access to a broader range of fitness brands.

Aw thanks Deb! I really like how the black plays off the brights, too. :) I wish more brands had good options for you Canadians, but I hope the new Nords has a huuuuge active section to make up for a little bit of that. ;)

I just ordered some zella tights from nordstrom vancouver. Free shipping and is less expensive then it shows on website. In canadian dollars was supposed to be $72 but was $56 when I called to order it direct from store. Great service. Jenn

Love those capris. I wish I’d gotten them when they were still available. I only have a couple of things from Athleta not sure why I don’t have more… especially for casual wear as they have tons of options. I’ve been looking at the Metro Slouch pants, but I’m waiting for a good coupon or sale.

Yes, their casual options are great. As you sort of alluded to, it’s tough to pay full price sometimes though, especially when they have sales pretty frequently.

I love those colors too – and you look fab in that outfit! I have that floral fade print in a tank, and it’s one of my faves – makes me happy! I’m not hating Athleta right now either – I LIVE in their cashmere Mudra sweaters (all bought at v deep discount – super value) and their crops are really great – cute details and good quality… Love Lulu still, but am finding that Athleta is creeping up there in terms of detailing, quality and price consistency… Nice to have options, I suppose!

I really wanted some mudra sweaters, but the budget never let it happen last year. Looks like there are a couple on ebay, though! ;) They look like they’re about a medium to light weight, I assume?

OMG they’re gorgeous! I bought my first one, slightly oversized in a M, for $59 last year (from $180!) and I literally feel like I’m being hugged when I wear it – soft, cozy and lightweight… My fave. I then bought the beige one for $59 less 20% off sale prices and loved it so much that I went back for a pale grey one in a L… then I caved the other day and bought the bright purple in a large too (ridiculously oversized but soooooo cute) but it was back up to $59. So now I never need to look at another cashmere sweater again in my life! They’re fabulous lounging sweaters that don’t really even feel like sweaters at all – lusciously light! If you find one, buy it STAT!

Awesome thanks for the info!! :) There’s a taupe one on ebay for $70 and a blue one for $100. Not as good of a deal as you got, but probably still a good value, at least for the taupe.

Don’t feel bad about having an off workout week….This happens to me once in a while, and when I start to get down on myself, I try to remember that we need a step back week to let our bodies rest and absorb the workouts. It helps somewhat :)
Suzanne | Agent Athletica says
Yeah, definitely. It’d be a lot less frustrating, except that the past several weeks have been really hit-or-miss (I’ve had several weeks of only 2 workouts for example), so overall things could be trending in a better direction. So far this week is going better though. :)

Great outfit and beautiful photos again! I really like how your shoes pull in the black of the flash tee. I have that tee also but have trouble pairing it with stuff. Thanks for featuring it.

Thanks! I like how the black with black turned out, too. Overall, it turned into a *really* matchy outfit, lol, especially since I had a regal plum energy bra underneath too that also coordinates with the crops. As for the flash tee, I also really like it over a tank top and shorts. I didn’t wear it much at first, but as I’ve figured out what it works with, it’s ended up being really useful!

LOVE this look! I have the bali breeze CRB and love it, but I’m regretting I missed out on those crops because they are gorg! Confession – I don’t own a single Athleta piece. But I’ll definitely check out their new releases because I too am in major fall shopping mode. Beautiful pics!

Thanks Sophie!! :) I must’ve grabbed one of the VERY last pairs of these (got them on sale for only like $55, SOOOO worth it) and am so glad I did!

How do the Sonar Capris do for workouts? Athleta has some new prints of the Sonar I’m loving. I also love all the colors in the palette you’re wearing.

I think they perform comparably to my luxtreme lulu crops (though the fabric feels slightly different, given that it’s printed poly). The rise area feels slightly different (a hair lower I think), but I haven’t had issues with them shifting around. I’m not a very sweaty person (I’m VERY cold-natured) so I can’t really speak to that aspect. Athleta has such a fabulous return policy, though, that I think they’re worth a try. I would likely buy another pair if a color and/or price point came up that I liked.
